From There to Here
2013-07-29 Downtown Toronto: early evening. Thunder, rolling in the distance, mixed with the sound of sirens thirty floors below, drowns out the screaming a little. Those screams have been getting closer and closer over the last thirty minutes and I know it’s only a matter of time before my screams join this choir of pain.

It was the best of times; it was the worst of times
"It was the best of times; it was the worst of times." Yeah, I know it's a grand opening; too bad I borrowed it from a great writer. But, I believe Dickens would have chuckled to see me use it in a story about being kicked by a horny Kangaroo and pissed on by a Koala.
