Ireland
Have you ever read Gulliver’s Travels? It just so happens that I've been inside St. Patrick's Cathedral, in Dublin; which is home to the late Johnathan Swift, who became ‘Dean Swift,’ and who also happens to be the author of the famous Gulliver’s Travels. I tell you this, because you may view me as a sort of Gulliver, who embarked on a voyage from the Americas and washed up in Ireland one fateful morning (In actuality, I flew into the Dublin airport, several years ago for vacation). The good news is, Ireland is not quite Lilliput; for, I was never anchored down and interrogated by the locals when I arrived (and if you don’t know what I’m talking about, you can buy Gulliver’s travels at any bookstore; and even at the Cathedral in Dublin). The truth is, I had quite a swell time in Dublin and I learned a thing or two during my rather short stay, so read on.

Alberta
The greatest drive in the world is in Alberta... I have driven a lot of Alberta. Most of this province I drove with a small pickup whilst working for an oil and gas company many years ago. I have driven further into the middle of nowhere in this province than most anyone you probably know. I’ve seen pasture upon pasture, and many a dirt road. I've passed through just about all the parks and villages, and the hamlets too. The prairies, actually span three provinces; and I’m not going to lie to you and say that you won’t find hidden gems here and there as you sojourn this great and vast country. Canada is massive — we have a lot of ‘space’ and you can see that quite clearly from out the car window. But, I think with all this driving (and sight-seeing), I’ve also stumbled upon one of the greatest roads to drive, and it just so happens to be right in this province — and in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

The Island of Maui
I flew into Maui about a decade ago... It was an especially memorable time, here's why... The way the airport check-in staff look at you when they see your destination printed on the luggage tag. Believe me when I say that it can be a very jealous look; or perhaps even a look of envy. It might even make you laugh a little inside. This is especially the case if it happens to be the middle of winter (at a brisk twenty-five degrees below zero outside) when they catch of glimpse of your tag. Even still, you have the (roughly) six-hour flight over the pacific ocean, so don't get too excited just yet. This flight is made especially fun when you encounter delays or turbulence. Yet, when you’re trying to guess the halfway point (in nautical miles) between the mainland and the island — which, the pilot encourages, to keep the mood light and cheerful — there is an unmistakable air of adventure...

The Greatest Quotes
I have had the great fortune to have read a number of the greatest works ever recorded, which I devoted myself to, over the course of a number of years. At my leisure, I took the time to sift through the content within each piece, and arrive at what I found to be most entertaining, or noteworthy; and herein I will provide the reader with the fruits of my labour, so to speak. Of course, there is a very good chance I've overlooked key quotes within each work; or perhaps, even, the reader may not find the same value as I had found. Truth be told, however, my only regret is that I didn't start taking notes sooner, as there were a decent number of books that I read prior to compiling this short selection, which I don't have any notes for, whatsoever.

How to Conquer a Nation
First things first, this is a true history, and as such, it should be among those highest esteemed, and I even conjecture that at a future point in time, it will be bestowed with a legendary viewing; what’s more, I assure the reader, that there is nothing phony-baloney about what is written here and if one wishes to become a Knight or King or even an Emperor, someday, he will heed the instructions carefully concealed within this account, before embarking on any such quest fraught with peril.
