Doug Chiang: An Unknown Architect Of The 'Star Wars' Prequels
When it comes to the overall look of the Star Wars galaxy, a lot of credit (and rightfully so) is given to concept artist Ralph McQuarrie, who illustrated various iterations or original trilogy characters whom we have come to know and love. His influence has even lived on in the Disney era of the franchise, notably via various characters and creatures featured in the animated series Star Wars Rebels. However, there is another artist whom some fans sometimes overlook, and he deserves the spotlight as well. That man is Doug Chiang, born February 16, 1962.

What Grogu's Yellow Lightsaber Could Mean For The Character's Future
We have recently been given a new poster for The Mandalorian that seems to show Grogu taking a very important step in his Jedi training, and that is building his lightsaber that we see has a yellow crystal. So what would this mean for the character? Well, in order to theorize about this, we need to understand what it means to build your own lightsaber, and what the colors can mean.

10 Best Quotes From 'Star Wars' (And 10 More For Your Everyday Use)
George Lucas was often criticized for writing “wooden dialogue,” and it’s perhaps true that putting refined words into the mouths of his characters might not be one of his biggest talents. But Lucas was obviously aware of this shortcomings and so he hired the services of so-called script-doctors, like Gloria Katz, Willard Huyck or even Carrie Fisher herself, who would polish the dialogue into something that the actors were able and willing to say. But despite these “wooden dialogues,” there is a plethora of memorable quotes in the Star Wars films and TV shows. Today, we are going to pick 10 of the most famous ones (in no particular order), and then there is a bonus of 10 more.

How Han Solo Was Almost In The Prequel Trilogy
The prequel trilogy not only showed the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker, but it also gave fans a look at the origin of several other characters in the Star Wars universe. For some characters, like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, it was imperative to see them in the time before the fall of the Republic. On the other hand, the origins of characters like C-3PO and R2-D2 were nice little treats for fans. Creator Georg Lucas wanted to see one more character on screen in the prequels, however. Originally, Lucas planned for the iconic trio from the original trilogy to make an appearance in Revenge of the Sith, and that included everyone’s favorite smuggler.

The Famous Actor Who Turned Down The Role Of Obi-Wan Kenobi (And Vader)
Throughout the years, the late Sir Alec Guiness, Ewan McGregor, and James Arnold Taylor have all put their stamp on the character of the illustrious Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi. Sir Alec Guinesss portrayed the character in the original trilogy, which consists of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Later, when George Lucas created the prequel trilogy, Ewan McGregor took over the role of the younger Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith. He also did brief voiceover work for a scene in The Rise of Skywalker. Additionally, McGregor is set to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the upcoming live-action Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi, set for release in 2022. The Real-Life War 'Star Wars' Almost Caused
Star Wars films have their share of firsts, broken records, and bizarrely unique anecdotes surrounding their production. In the case of the original trilogy films, many of them involve filming on location. The lush and dense California Redwoods served as the forest moon of Endor, Hoth scenes were filmed on the frozen tundra of Norway's Hardangerjokulen Glacier, and the set of the Lars Homestead was famously built in Tunisia, North Africa surrounded by sands and sun. This final locale is where the war in the stars almost came too close to home, thanks to a border dispute, a crazed dictator, and a group of junk-trading Jawas.

The History Of Clones In ‘Star Wars’
“You fought in the Clone Wars?” When Luke Skywalker asked this question back in A New Hope, the imagination of the Star Wars fandom ran wild at its implication. This exact moment made the clones a part of the larger lore of the galaxy far, far away. The idea of clones would persist throughout the various media and iterations of the Star Wars galaxy from books, to comics, to eventually the prequel movies.

How A Thunderstorm Almost Ruined ‘The Phantom Menace’
The first entry in George Lucas's prequel trilogy, Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, has taken a fair beating from many fans since its release back in 1999. Many did not enjoy it. A lot of criticism were aimed at a specific character and the cheesy dialogue. While it may not be the best film in the series, it certainly gave us a lot, especially in the special effects department. As much as many will not admit it, the space battles and choreography looked much better than those from the original trilogy. The lightsaber battles, like the "Duel of the Fates" scene, were just spectacular. One thing which stood out for many fans, was the introduction of podracing into the franchise. Throughout the entire Star Wars franchise, whether it be television shows, books, comics, or films, the one thing every character agrees on is just how dangerous the "sport" of podracing is. Many participants met their end on the track. It turned out the actual filming of these sequences was equally as dangerous. Extreme weather conditions almost cost us the entire scene had it not been for George Lucas himself, and the Tunisian Military.
