LIFE IS STRANGE: BEFORE THE STORM REVIEW
It is a strange thing to me that I look back at the original Life of Strange by DontNod. While I enjoyed the game, I also remember feeling that there were some good moments. However, when I was asked to recall any details about the game, I found out that I played as a shy, introverted teenager girl who spoke in very sneering and said some really awful things. There were also some completely unimaginable phenomena that occurred in the game, which no one seemed to be terribly concerned about.

Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 Review
Olympic Games Tokyo2020 is the official tie in game for the delayed Olympic Games. They will be starting next month. The simulation-like gameplay of the previous series was created to look and feel like the real deal. Sega has taken a different approach this time, with Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 adopting a more arcadey gameplay style. It works in the game’s favor for most of the time and creates an environment conducive to local multiplayer.

Mass Effect 3 Review
We bid farewell all that Mess. With a few rounds of technical difficulties at the end and some Mass Effect game play, I've spent over 200 hours in games in the last month. It's not surprising that I didn't finish the fight in the trilogy’s final entry. Although Mass Effect 3 is a more complex game, it doesn't have the same bloat. For reasons that we'll be discussing in a moment, I'm very happy it did.

Samurai Warriors 5 Review
It is one of the most popular power fantasies in videogames to be able to suit up and play as a Samurai. While there are many games that allow you play as historical characters, how about slashing whole armies while playing as one of the legendary, historical, legendary Samurai?

Scarlett Nexus Review
Bandai Namco’s anime-infused action RPG Scarlet Nexus knows all about games that include subtext and thinks they are all cowards. This title is an example of how to be big. It's not afraid to fail and take great swings at achieving its goals.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX Review
It's easy not to feel sorry about Alex Kidd. Nintendo moved forward in the 1980s with their dungareed Mascot, Super Mario Bros. In 1985, it changed how we looked at side scrolling platformers forever. Sega, however, couldn't resist introducing Alex Kidd to Miracle World in 1986. Alex Kidd, despite six games being released in the span of four years, would not be "Sega’s Mario". Sega switched to Sonic the Hedgehog, and the Kidd was forgotten. Until now.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance Review
Dungeons, Dragons is a world filled with mysterious treasures and giant monsters. The worlds created by the tabletop RPG player guide book contain some of most terrifying and nasty creatures from high fantasy. They include the fierce-toothed Goblins as well as the giant Frost Giants. Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance lets you fight hordes and monsters as one four legendary heroes in fantastic fantasy locations. This is not a tabletop game, but it is more about action than strategy.

Red Solstice 2: Survivors Review
The sub-genre of action tactics strategy gaming has great potential. It can help create tension in an ever-changing and evolving real time environment, while also emphasizing teamwork to solve the unknown. Ironward's refined sequel to Red Solstice 2 Survivors is it able to energize the action-tactic sub-genre with its refined sequel?

Humankind Review
This year has been quite interesting for historical 4X strategy games, with plenty of new titles popping up to carve out their own place in the subgenre. Mohawk Games' Old World released with moderate success and now Amplitude Studios is taking its turn with Humankind. Does Humankind's offering stand up to scrutiny, and ushers in a new era historical strategy games?
