METRO NEOMATIK 41 UPDATE
The Metro neomatik 41 Update was unveiled by NOMOS Glashütte earlier this year. It shares many characteristics with the brand’s Tangente neomatik 41 Update. However, the newer watch incorporates many of the design codes found on earlier Metro models, all of which have been styled by Mark Braun. Angus Davies looks closely at the composition of this latest addition to the Metro family, paying particular attention to the model’s design.

PERRELET TURBINE PILOT
The Perrelet Turbine Pilot does not subscribe to the traditional pilot’s watch style. On the contrary, the Swiss firm has conceived a very original aviation-themed timepiece that sidesteps convention with its bold use of colour and animated dialscape. When attending social engagements, the subject of my profession invariably leads to an onslaught of questions. When asked what I think of smart watches, I feign interest and answer politely, despite having just died a little inside. However, when asked to name the greatest watchmaker of all time, my eyes widen, a grin inevitably appears on my face and I begin to share my opinions. Certainly, Ferdinand Berthoud and Antide Janvier are names that readily spring to mind. However, there is one individual who, for me, stands out as the greatest watchmaker of all time, Abraham-Louis Breguet.
