"The Starry Night." Vincent van Gogh

Vincent was a young artist who had been struggling to find inspiration for his paintings. He had painted many pictures over the years, but he felt like he was stuck in a rut. There was no inspiration and no way for him to continue. He longed to create something truly beautiful and inspiring, something the world would admire as he did. But he didn't know where to start. He couldn't even force himself to begin. As with many of his paintings, he merely need press his brush against the canvas and the rest just came along. But now... if he pressed his brush against the canvas, nothing happened. No feelings or spark or idea's. Just blank lines or swirls with no heart. No true passion.

One night, Vincent had a dream. In his dream, he found himself walking through a field of sunflowers. The sunflowers were tall and bright, and they seemed to stretch up towards the sky. The sky was painted in shades of blue and purple, and the stars shone brightly overhead. Vincent felt a sense of peace and wonder as he walked through the field... The way his heart lifted as he saw the stars, no, it was the way his mind raced as he pushed through the sunflowers! Perhaps, it was the inspiration he felt as the wind brushed against his skin as delicately as he would brush a canvas. He knew this must be a very special place. A world given to him in his moment of need. No, an art piece shared with him surely to bring him through the grief of his lost art!

As he walked, he came across a small cottage. He could see that someone was inside, so he walked up to the door and knocked. Each knock reverberated through him making the dream more real. Real. It was real. A woman named Anna opened the door, and she invited Vincent inside. The cottage was cozy and warm, and Vincent could see that Anna was a painter too. Her colored canvas's decorated her home the way trinkets and fine China would decorate another woman's home. They spent the night talking about their art and their lives, and Vincent felt a strong connection to Anna. He admired her work and was amazed as she spoke of never losing her art. She said, she found her heart among the stars and the stars in turn gifted her art.

When Vincent woke up, he realized that he had been inspired by Anna and the beautiful night sky in his dream. Maybe his heart would be among the stars as hers was. He knew that he had to paint a picture of Anna standing in a field of sunflowers, with the stars shining brightly in the sky behind her.

Vincent spent the next few days painting. He worked tirelessly, putting all of his passion and energy into the painting. When he finished, he was amazed by what he had created. The picture was of Anna standing in a field of sunflowers, with the stars shining brightly in the sky behind her. Vincent knew that he had found his inspiration, and he continued to paint beautiful pictures inspired by the night sky and the stars.

Over time, Vincent's paintings became more and more famous. People from all over the world came to see his beautiful pictures, and Vincent became one of the most famous artists of his time. He never forgot the dream that had inspired him, and he always felt a special connection to Anna and the beautiful night sky.

His most famous piece however was when he mixed his own art with hers. He saw her stunning paintings of cities as they would be seen in sunsets. Their buildings made of the shadows they normally cast below them during the day. He drew one such city, his home town... and feeling as though he was missing something, he looked into the stars of his other paintings… he recollected the flowers of his dreams and he made his most famous combination of all. The sunflowers depicted as stars of the night sky to surround and guard the beautiful silhouette of Anna's city landscapes he found his inspiration from.

Forever, the inspiration she gifted him on that starry night would be held in that image, protected by that of which held his heart. His home, the night, the sunflowers and the stars. He would call it... The Starry Night.

The end.
