Nighthawks
Edward Hopper created the iconic painting known as "Nighthawks". It is one of my favorite pieces of artwork and in the piece the people are lost souls who don't know and to me Nighthawks represents purgatory. The piece is eerie and it is dark and drew me in to it. Actually Nighthawks was one of the first artworks that I paid attention to not only is it eerie and dark I couldn't stop staring it actually left me in trance and lost in the world of Nighthawks. The artist who created this piece has other works like this where he would paint actual scenes from around New York, it is only the place where he lived.

The Homies
When I was in highschool I used to collect The Homies figurines and I thought that they were cool as I still do. They were created by David Gonzales a fictional latin barrio in california and they are tightknit. I had a couple of posters as well as the figurines too. Each piece is a beautifully done little piece of art. There is a little kid spin off appropriately titled “Mijos” which is spanish for my children or my kids.

The Keep Calm and Listen to Willy Chirino poster I created
This is the Keep calm and listen to Willy Chirino poster i created for my beloved friend Willy Chirino. I showed it to him and he liked it and then told me that he loves those posters. The idea for it came to me randomly i was driving somewhere and the idea came to and then when i got back to my house i went on my computer and created the poster and that is the way it happened. Like Willy i love those type of posters as well. He deserves a poster like this and that is all.

The Gates by Christo and Jean Claude
Many years ago in Central Park in New York City there was a beautiful installation by artistic duo Christo and Jean Claude called “The Gates”. It was set up along the entire walking path in Central Park and lasted a good long time to the point that it over stayed its welcome in the opinion of some but not mine but after a while some New Yorkers had formed the opinion. The piece was orange frames with safron curtains like those that Buddhist monks wear draped over them. I wish that I had had the chance to experience but I missed out. I just want to say that the staff who approved the project for the park are geniuses.

The Andy Warhol Brillo Box
Andy Warhol is the king of Pop Art and he had been the first to incorporate everyday items that we as a society would never think to turn into art, Andy did it first with the Cambpell Soup can and then with the Brillo Soap Box. There was an art collector family who had a Warhol Brillo Soap Box in their collection and it did become part of their lives which is really rare for a piece of art to be able to do that and the daughter of the family who was a film maker made a documentary about it.

the Metropolitan Museum of Art
When I was in elementary school I went on a really cool and unforgettable field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the first time. It was a fantastic time I wondered around the asian exhibits a great deal as well as through the galleries and it was simply amazing and a fantastic enchancement to the senses. Since then I had gone back also to see an exhibition that featured fine high fashion and couture from Versace as well as other notable fashion designers. Inside this building a lot of magical things have taken place and history upon history has also been made within its hollowed walls.

Boba Tea in a Plastic Cup: When Homesickness Meets a Minimart Shelf in Osaka
I had just gotten back from genba that evening, my body still carrying the smell of sweat and dust from work, when I stopped by a small convenience store near the station. The plan was simple — buy a bottle of water. But like always, my feet couldn't resist wandering down one more aisle before actually leaving. And that's where I stopped, standing still in front of a clear plastic cup labeled "Boba Tea — Matcha Flavor."
