On the social media site TikTok, users can make and exchange brief videos with others. Although it has gained popularity among young people, debate has also surrounded it because of worries about data security, privacy, and its content.TikTok has been accused of sharing user data with the Chinese government, possibly jeopardising national security, leading some to argue that it should be banned. Others contend that the app, especially for young users, can be compulsive and mentally damaging.

On the other hand, some claim that prohibiting TikTok would be an infringement on their right to free speech and expression. Others contend that the app has given many people joy and entertainment and that any drawbacks can be resolved through regulation and instruction.

Okay lets dive deep into the matter:

Lets first check out the countries that has banned tiktok:

India: Citing worries about national security and privacy, India banned TikTok and numerous other Chinese applications in June 2020.

Pakistan: Out of concern for the "immoral" and "indecent" material on the app, Pakistan temporarily banned TikTok in October 2020. After TikTok agreed to more carefully monitor its content, the ban was lifted.

United States: Former President Donald Trump issued an executive order in August 2020 that would have outlawed TikTok in the country unless it was purchased by an American business. The ban was subsequently overturned in court, and the Biden administration has suspended the directive while it investigates the matter.

Bangladesh: In June 2021, Bangladesh banned TikTok for several days due to concerns about "bad" content on the app. The ban was lifted after TikTok agreed to remove the content in question.

Indonesia: In July 2021, Indonesia temporarily banned TikTok due to concerns about inappropriate content. The ban was lifted after TikTok agreed to remove the offending content.

Australia:It is planning to ban tiktok on government devices so that the data is not leaked. There are also numbeous cases imposed on tiktok and it violates many rules and regulations of the countries.

Recently UK's watchdog fined a huge sum on tiktok because of it misusing of data of millions of children.

So whats the solution for all this??

As these many countries have found out that it is misusing of user's data and leaking it.There has to be a solution got it.The best way is to delete the app and go for famous alternatives of the app and also a more trusted one and also by chance a home - grown one.

There are plenty of alternative to the app tiktok such as :

Instagram Reels: Reels is the social media platform's response to TikTok, allowing users to make and share short videos with audio tracks. This is nowadays the most safe and relaible one as it is owned by meta.Reels offers the same benefits and effects that is being used in Tiktok.

Triller: Just to TikTok, Triller lets users make and share brief movies that are accompanied by audio samples.

Dubsmash:Users can create brief films of themselves lip-syncing to audio excerpts from movies, TV episodes, and songs using the Dubsmash app.

Byte:Users may make and share brief, looping movies using the Byte app, which was developed by the co-creator of Vine.

Likee: Likee is a social networking application that enables users to produce and distribute brief films with music, filters, and special effects.

These are some of the best alternative of the app which is safe and secure and also more trusted and reliable. Its better to not lose any our personal information and data to anyone.

So its better to uninstall the app and try out the alternative if we wish to use the same features of the application.
