Oklahoma's VINITA — Oklahoma will soon get a brand-new theme park.

When the American Heartland leadership announced the American Heartland Theme Park and Resort in northeast Oklahoma on Wednesday, state and municipal officials from Oklahoma visited Vinita. The park will be constructed on Route 66 just west of the Grand Lake region in stages.

The first stage will consist of a sizable RV park with cabins that is expected to open in the spring of 2025 and a top-notch amusement park and resort that is expected to open in 2026.

The American Heartland Theme Park and vacation, according to officials, will compete with the best vacation destinations in the world. American Heartland CEO Larry Wilhite expressed his excitement about relocating the theme park and resort to Oklahoma. "As a destination for family entertainment, Oklahoma is a desirable position at the crossroads of the heartland. This has been made feasible by the state's unique cooperation initiatives and business-friendly policy. We are excited to offer Oklahoma experiences that will last a lifetime.

A 125-acre theme park will be part of the 1,000-acre American Heartland development. The park, according to their claims, will include a setting with an Americana motif, as well as rides, live performances, family activities, waterways, and food and drink options. With 750 RV spots, 300 cabins, and other amenities, the nearby 320-acre Three Ponies RV Park and Campground claims to be the biggest campground in the central United States.

According to the developers, the 125-acre theme park would have six unique American zones to welcome guests on a journey of the best of the American narrative. All of the following locations will be accessible to visitors: The Great Plains, Bayou Bay, Big Timber Falls, Stony Point Harbor, Liberty Village, and Electropolis.

The construction will also have a top-notch, 300-room hotel and a cutting-edge, indoor water park. According to Kristy Adams, senior executive vice president of sales and marketing for Mansion Entertainment Group, American Heartland, and Three Ponies, "American Heartland will be an anchor tourist destination on Route 66 set to attract more than two million out-of-state visitors to Oklahoma each year." "The development will be unlike anything else in the area in scale and quality, making Vinita, Oklahoma a can't-miss destination for families from all over the world," says the developer.

Hopper Smith, acting director of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, said: "We are happy that American Heartland Theme Park and Resort has taken the first step and chosen Oklahoma to construct a world-class entertainment destination. "We look forward to helping with this project as it develops."

The interim head of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, Hopper Smith, said, "We are happy that American Heartland Theme Park and Resort has taken the first step and chosen Oklahoma to construct a world-class entertainment destination. We are eager to help with this initiative as it progresses.

Six distinctly American areas will be included in the park, which is geared toward families and will take guests on a tour of American history. Great Plains, Bayou Bay, Big Timber Falls, Stony Point Harbor, Liberty Village, and Electropolis are a few of them.

"American Heartland will be a place families can come together to create lasting memories, experience joy, laughter, imagination, and wonder," said Gene Bicknell, founder and chief creative officer of American Heartland. "Our nation has so much to be proud of, including its cultures and landscapes."

This project will be developed by American Heartland. They are a subsidiary of Mansion Entertainment Group, LLC and have their headquarters in Oklahoma.

Over 20 former Disney Parks builders and Imagineers will work on the project under the direction of executive producer Steve Hedrick.
