A cell phone is also often referred to as a “cell phone”. It is a device mainly used for voice calling. Meanwhile technological advances have made our lives easier. Today, with the help of cell phones we can easily talk or video chat with anyone around the world just by moving our fingers. Today's mobile phones are available in a variety of shapes and sizes, with different technical details and for many purposes such as voice calling, video chat, messaging or SMS, multimedia, internet browsing, email, video games, and photos. So it is called 'Smart Phone'. Like all other devices, the cell phone has its ups and downs which we will now discuss.

Advantages of mobile phone

1) It keeps us connected

Now we can connect with our friends, relatives anytime we want through multiple apps. Now we can discuss video chat with anyone we want, simply using your mobile phone or smartphone. Apart from this mobile it also keeps us updated about the whole world.

2) Daily Communication

Today mobile phones have made our lives much easier with the daily activities of life. Today, one can check the status of live traffic on a mobile phone and make the right decisions to arrive on time. Along with weather updates, taxi bookings and much more.

3) Entertainment for All

With the advent of mobile technology, the whole world of entertainment is now under one roof. Whenever we get bored with normal work or vacation time, we can listen to music, watch movies, show our favorite shows or just watch a video of our favorite song.

4) Managing Office Work

Nowadays mobiles are used for many types of formal work From meeting schedules, sending and receiving documents, giving presentations, alarms, job requests, etc. Cell phones have become an integral part of every working person

5) Mobile Banking

These days mobiles are even used as a payment fund. Money could be transferred almost immediately to friends, relatives, or others by means of a mobile phone smartphone. Also, one can easily access his account information and know past transactions. So it saves a lot of time and also has no problem.

Evil for Mobile Phones

1) Time to spend

Today's people are addicted to mobile phones. Even though we don't need to go on the phone broadcasting the net, we play games and become a real addict. Once the cell phones were clever, people became dumb.

2) It Cannot Communicate

Wide use of mobiles has led to less integration and more talk. Now people do not meet physically rather than chat or comment on social media.

3) Loss of Privacy

It is a major problem now to lose one's privacy due to excessive use of mobile phones. Today anyone can easily find information such as where you live, your friends and family, what your job is, where your house is, etc. by easily browsing your social media account.

4) Wastage Money

As mobiles support has increased so is their cost. Today people spend a lot of money buying Smartphones, which can be used for very useful things like education, or other things that are useful in our lives.

The conclusion

A cell phone can be good and bad; depending on how the user uses it. As mobiles have become a part of our lives so we must use them properly, carefully so that we can live a healthy life better than misusing them and making them a virus in life.

A mobile phone itself has become a fashion statement wherein the brand, cost type of handset, colour, added accessories reflect the personality of a person. People have made mobile phones a status symbol instead of necessity. This has thus given rise to an increase in criminal and antisocial activities in order to have money to satisfy this growing need to show off.

It’s tough to fit a music player, digital camera, phone, GPS all in the pocket at the same time. Fortunately, today’s cell phones come with all these features and thus it is not a problem anymore.

Today, cell phones have built in calculator, flashlight or torch, radio among other things. Phone is also an eBook reader, currency converter, handheld gaming device, e-mail checker, internet, video calling, 3G facilities, downloads, songs, movies, pictures, payment of bills, shopping, learning foreign language, health regulator, are the wonders of this small size gadget.

Mobile phones have shrunk the world into a global town wherein one person sitting in one continent can easily and instantly talk to the other residing in another continent. The mobile telecommunication is one of the largest in the world. People in cities, semi-urban areas and even in rural areas find its use essential to their life. Internet penetration in India is largely driven by mobile phones, with some of the most basic hand-sets offering access to the internet. About 70% of rural India’s active internet population access the web via mobile phones as they are easier to use than accessing PCs. Hillary Clinton has once said “There are 4 billion cell phones in use today. Many of them are in hands of market vendors, rickshaw drivers, and others who’ve historically lacked access to education and opportunity”

However, with new technologies in the mobile phones, concerns have arisen about its effects on the health of the users. Scientific evidence also states an increase in certain types of rare tumours (cancer) seen in long-time, persistent heavy users. More recently, a study provided significant evidence of genetic damage under certain conditions.
