How to save videos from X.com the new Twitter!

X is the new Twitter. Elon musk acquired Twitter last year and he has a grand plan for it. He wants it to become an app for everything in your daily life, in his own words it needs to be an "everything" app

A simplified explanation of what X is for those that haven't gotten the news yet because people have jobs too so you can't expect everyone to know and for the people that are just busting onto the social media scene, even to this day so many new people start their internet journey. It's a great time to be a Twitter enthusiast!

X (Twitter) is a social media platform where people can share all they want and perhaps even grow an audience or a business on it they can also follow their favorite news broadcaster like say the BBC or CNN. X has got it all!

If you want to become a social media god X is also one of the main social media platform with a gigantic following where the world is yours if you work at it hard enough

You can also use X to just get your daily (or weekly for that matter) fix of some really cute dog or cat pictures. Memes are also a plenty on X. Your friends and family are most likely on X as well in todays digital world, so sharing that amazing taco you made last night to your family is also within the possibilities!

You must be wondering what is this X, (I sure was confused when i first heard it so here's a bit of a backstory on why Musk chose the letter X in particular. The letter X has long since been on Musk's mind as evidenced by his creation of the X.com domain in 1999 with the purpose of it become what Paypal ended up becoming in the end. A global bank with no waiting between payments, which would have been revolutionary back before Y2K. He then proceeded to found SpaceX which I'm sure we're all familiar with. Did you know the name of his son includes the very same letter X in his name very prominently. Can you start to see the pattern here? Musk likes the letter X for reasons which I'm sure are very philosophical.

Back to the social media platform!

Say you want to download some of those videos and you don't want to pay the X Blue (formerly Twitter Blue) monthly subscription that Elon Musk recently added to the platform I've done some digging and found this solid little website www.Xsave.org to easily download videos and with no attached cost say you were doing some googling and you found an old link that still has the twitter handle, it still works on Xsave. Later in this blog post I've made a quick guide on how it all works

Downloading videos from Xsave is free of charge but don't blame me if you download too much outside your phone data budget if you're on mobile, so keep an eye on your usage. I don't want you to incur extra costs from using the website.

Musk has also explicitly stated he wants to turn X.com into this all encompassing experience akin to what you can see in China with the likes of WeChat if you're familiar with that. Now this is very likely to be very far in the future but as far as I know if the format stays the same Xsave should (as far as i can tell) still work once that transformation is complete.

As I alluded to before here is a quick run down on how to use Xsave

1. First of all load up Xsave on your internet browser of choice

2. Secondly grab your desired X.com video link e.g [https://x.com/pagename/status/1390712299011313665]

3. Paste it in the main text bar on Xsave.org and click the Download button

4. And Ding! Here's your video!
