I know most of us are only or largely relying on Facebook for building our personal brands, launches, communities that generate million dollars a month, $1-$100k launches, and whatnot! 🤷‍♀️

Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and/or Messenger are bread and butter for millions. 😌

I did thorough market research and tests as a social media marketer and educator while working on my offers, clients, and students.

The research finally got validated after this outage - for the world.

I deliberately wanted to help businesses and personal brands build legacy organically (zero ad spend) because service providers like me, you, authors, marketing agencies, course creators, coaches, Youtubers, Influencers, artists, and small businesses CANNOT run and depend on ads every month.

We need a plan; we need strategy and content to support and build our online presence, which stays more than 24 hours and when we are busy or on leave.

It is as simple as that.

Our businesses deserve to be on search engines, suggestions, and recommendations.

Email Marketing is Lead Nurturing and I think that's fantastic, loved reading emails, launches moving to Zoom, and postponing. Awesome! This is life. Happens. :)

❌ But that is NOT brand-building or online presence.

So what are the key takeaways after the massive Big 4 (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp) outage!

It is now mandatory to add a non-Zukerberg platform after today and that could be:

🔥 LinkedIn - best for B2C, B2B, and powerful personal brand + online presence for your business. ZERO AD SPEND.

🔥 Pinterest - if you want to stay relevant without posting regularly, build Pinterest, and you will be on Google before your official website. ;)

🔥 TikTok Supremacy, it is now or never, businesses will have to incorporate TikTok to gain traction and visibility. This is the only platform that has more active daily users than Facebook. 732 million users and 3 Billion times downloaded so far while Facebook has 2.4 Billion monthly active users. If you have video content or you create reels, you must be on TikTok. That has more eyes than Facebook.

🔥 If you have lots of video content, and want to stay relevant after a decade too, want to scale your business eventually, and build a personal or professional brand – YOUTUBE is your answer! You can find the best pieces of training, tools, and SEO hacks on YouTube to grow and get visible.

🔥 Website is essential for businesses for executive presence, most of us don't even have a website which is fine. If we do, it's not optimized to get traffic. One-time SEO doesn't harm, website and SEO are an investment in your business. You can create one on Wix or WordPress to get started, funnels are not websites. Posting one blog a week or month will not only get you clients, but it will also get you sales. There are 6 BILLION queries are asked on search engines daily. You are one search away to get a lead.

Ps. Please feel free to add more platforms in the comments that I might have missed.

Read point # 1.

Here is a starter pack for you to get started right now:

Do your market research.

Start creating and posting content on at least one non-Facebook platform. TODAY!

Invite your existing audience there. Encourage them to do the same.

Follow RELEVANT industry leaders.

Focus on the content not # of followers or engagement. Nobody started at 100k followers. Don’t tell anyone, even the ones who reached there, are underselling. Most of them.

Don’t know what to post? You have a business, take advantage of that. Sell what you already have on different platforms. Talk about your products and services, why they are relevant for people, and the reason you are doing this.
