Watermelon Trick

This is one of those things that's going to have you doing a double-take when you first see it, especially if you don't know what's coming. Once you realize that the watermelon has been split in half in such a way that it looks like it's not, however, this illusion will make much more sense. And while some people out there might dismiss this as a silly trick (and I won't blame them), the artistry behind such an illusion is worth appreciating. It takes a lot of dedication and skill to create something like this.

All you need to do is cut your watermelon in half, much like you would a pumpkin for Halloween, and carefully scoop out the insides. Next place one of these bowls on your counter and fill it with whatever treats you desire. Since watermelons don't have many seeds, fruits and veggies work great inside their hollowed out shell. The best part is that no one will ever know!

As soon as I read that watermelons each contained two slices of the fruit, I wanted to try this one out. The final cut revealed a perfectly split watermelon and two perfect slices of sweet red fruit. Not only was it fun—my 6-year old giggled the entire time—but it was also easy. Give it try the next time you have a watermelon to slice!

I'm not fully sure why this works, or if it only works with watermelons, but for the price of very little effort, I'm willing to try. If you have any further questions about this experiment, let me know in the comments.

Feel free to use this trick the next time you need something to keep your wine chilled. Most times, people just put ice into the wine glass. The problem with that is that the water in the ice ends up diluting your wine and ruining the flavor. This special type of ice will keep your wine cold without adding any water to it.

With the right approach and a little bit of experimentation, you can get consistently amazing results with this method. The key is timing, but it's well worth it when you see how awesome the watermelon looks after you're done.

Once the watermelon is cut in half and it's just the two slices, slip one of them on top of a paper craft stand. Then reinsert the melon-baller and scoop up a few more balls. You'll need to take the loose slice of watermelon off the stand before doing so again.

Soap will cause the watermelon to "sweat" sudsy water, the same way it would sweat real sweat. You could probably tell your friends you ate a poisonous snake if you kept eating the soap-soaked rind! Great for a summer party or high school science halloween experiment.

I hope you had fun doing this experiment and best of luck with future science experiments!

All jokes aside, this is a really cool idea for a custom watermelon that I would actually love to have executed someday. Even if the results don't turn out exactly like expected (mine especially), I would love to try it!

Using the quick three-step process for coring your watermelon, you'll be able to carve out all of your fruit into a decorative and festive piece for any occasion!

You can now have all the flavor of fresh watermelon in a single gulp! That's right, the infuser is the new way to enjoy the natural sweetness of watermelon.

How did it work? Possibly, the imprint of a fingerprint would have been left in the pulp. At the time of purchase, the "buyer" quickly and surreptitiously pressed their finger against the melon. Immediately after purchase, they stole the melon and then easily peeled off the outer layer with a knife revealing a delicious pale green undisturbed fruit.

All in all, this is one awesome experiment and I highly recommend you try it for yourself!
