If you are not into simple no-code app design, then you are missing out. Mobile application design is a booming niche, simple to execute, and has minimal costs.

According to Allied Market Research, the global mobile application market size was valued at $106.27 billion in 2018, and projected to reach $407.31 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 18.4% from 2019 to 2026.

All you need is curiosity, creativity, and a "think outside the box" mentality.

There are many successful platforms that allow you to create and design a mobile application and direct you on how you can either sell or monetize it to create consistent passive income.

Platforms To Create Mobile Applications

  1. Andromo
  2. Appy Pie
  3. GameSalad: drag and drop game builder
  4. Bubble.io: no-code app creator
  5. AppMachine : award-winning no-code app creator

The above selections work to create iOS apps as well as Android apps.

They also offer assistance in marketing and monetizing your apps either through Google Play or Apple Store and earning exclusively through Google Adsense or monthly memberships.

Alternatively, you can also create applications and sell them to external clients at platforms such as Flippa.

“By 2024, no-code application development will be responsible for more than 65% of application development activity.” — Gartner

You can create different applications based on what your target market needs. Just like with any physical or digital product, it's important to research your customers wisely so you make the best use of your time, money, and effort.

Start creating mobile applications that target a specific language, hobby, sport, or music genre. The more you niche down, the better it is for you to reach your target audience since the market is populated with general apps.

1. Quizzes/Trivia: select a popular topic and create mini-quizzes that are broken into parts. After the completion of each part, there will be an advert which needs to be viewed for a small length of time. You get paid per advert viewed as well as clicked adverts.

2. Basic language teaching: through the use of electronic flashcards: this is perfect if you are familiar with another language. If not you can easily look up different language phrases, verbs, and adjectives to help you get started creating this app idea.

3. Affirmations: Law of attraction affirmations are a big hit at the moment with people looking for unique affirmations paired with relaxing music and aesthetic images to visualize. This is a great time to enter this market. An affirmation app is one of the easiest to create and market.

4. Prayer: Do you practice a specific religion? Combine simple prayers into a list and divide them by times of the day, type of hardship, and request and you are good to go.

5. Meditation Music: research the effects of Hertz music on the mind and its scientifically proven ability to assist in mental focus and relaxation and create a mini list of royalty-free meditation Hertz music lists.

6. Wallpaper with quotes: People young and old are on the lookout for motivational quotes by leading experts to help lift their moods and realign them to their life’s purpose. Select motivational quotes that are listed in the public domain and combine them with nicely designed templates from Canva.

7. Ebooks: Search for award-winning electronic books in the public domain and create apps featuring 10–20 niche-based books to enrich the mind.

If you want to take it a step further then you can also provide book summaries or audiobooks.

If you do so, just make sure the books are available in the public domain, which gives you the legal rights to use them commercially.

You have a choice to create themed ebooks or ebooks in different languages. The opens are open and limitless.

8. Themed coloring pages: this requires a little extra skill, but it is doable and can be recreated easily once you get the hang of it.

Coloring books are a big hit on Amazon and people are moving to digital coloring pages as a great form of therapy and relaxation.

Start by purchasing cheap beautifully designed coloring pages on either Creative Market or Fiverr and utilize them to create themed apps.

Mandala-themed coloring pages work best.

9. Journal Prompts: Create a 30, 90, or 120-day challenge with unique journal prompts to motivate teens and older users to journal their way through self-discovery and healing.

If you are creative and have the time, I recommend you write your own journal prompts into an aesthetically designed visual.

If you lack the time or effort required, definitely invest in hiring a reliable writer on Fiverr or Upwork to write the journal prompts for you.

I hope this article has helped you understand what you need to get started in working in no-code mobile app development. You can get started by dedicating a few hours a week. Along with a great plan and the right platform, you will be ready to launch your first mobile application to the market.
