As we are continuously searching for fresh creators and inspiring stories, this thread provides an opportunity to exchange and discuss the stories that have moved and motivated us on Vocal.
How to join the 📢 Raise Your Voice Thread:
- Introduce yourself in the comment section of this story and tell us what you create on Vocal.
- Shoutout a Vocal creator you recommend reading. Include the URL of a writer or story that inspired you and why.
- If you like a story another person has recommended, send that story's creator a like, leave a comment, and/or subscribe to them.

Our curation team loves Brenton F's poem, "Onlyfans Poet," for its witty and provocative nature. The poet's clever commentary explores the culture of self-promotion and the commodification of writing. It is funny and engaging, and ripe with innuendos that challenge the reader's assumptions about creativity and capitalism. The poem also speaks to the struggles of the creative process, making it relatable to anyone who has tried to write. Brenton F's poetry is distinctly all his own, has great range, and we highly recommend checking out his work if you don't mind a few expletives.

I'd like to recommend Mariann Carroll, a prolific writer across a range of Vocal communities. Her unique free-ranging approach to science fiction has always particularly impressed me, as has her distinctive authorial voice. Mariann is a highly active and supportive Vocal member, often the very first to comment on a new story, and I greatly appreciate the interest she's taken in my own work.
