Your Vocal Comments

Introduction

I think that Vocal comments are a great addition to the Vocal model. This previous piece captures some of my thoughts on them if you want to check it out. It is a bit tongue-in-cheek but does contain some serious points.

I know that I do not comment enough or read enough stories, otherwise more Vocal Creators would read mine, but I do get a lot of reads from non-Vocal readers (I don't know who they are, but I wish I did), so I cannot complain too much.

So How Do I Comment?

I may do this differently from you, but if time allows I like to give two or three lines on the piece that I have read, with some points to illustrate that I have read the Vocal story.

Sometimes I am rushed and I may only be able to leave something like "Great Challenge Entry" or "Wonderful Words" for poetry, but short comments let the Creators know you have been in their story.

I have had some comments that would make a Vocal story on their own, but do significantly enhance my stories, and I always try to add to other creators' stories if I can, but sometimes the story is so complete that all you can add is your congratulations.

I seldom congratulate people on Top Stories because they have been recognised by Vocal with a five dollar tip and a slew of congratulatory comments, but I try and leave a comment about the story itself and why it was worthy of a Top Story.

Conclusion

On Vocal I believe we are part of a huge supportive community and we can all help and encourage each other. Your comments on my stories make me feel cared for and valued.

We see this in the Facebook Vocal groups where we can share our works and grow our audience and swap ideas with other Vocal Creators.
