Where the Dreamwalker Treads

ViM Unofficial Challenge

A Dreamwalker has the ability to enter dreams, to watch or manipulate them. Some have the power to travel to other realities. Honored in some cultures, they're feared in others. Their rituals can be simple or complex, each one personalized to the individual walker.

After a long hiatus, ViM has decided to hold another Unofficial Vocal Challenge! Everyone on Vocal is welcome to join in the fun. This challenge's theme, if you haven't guessed already, is Dreamwalking.

Write us a story about a shaman, spiritualist, or psychologist who practices the art of projection into others' dreams. What will they do while trespassing? You can make it as weird as you like. It's all up to you.

Make it at least 600 words, but no more than 1000 words. No AI work will be considered.

Three winners will be chosen from the entries. I apologize, but at this time, I cannot promise anyone a cash prize. I can promise infamy fame, though. Not only will the winning stories be shared inside of ViM, but I will also share them on my Facebook profile.

I know, it doesn't seem like much. I hope you'll join in the fun, still, though. I really look forward to reading what you come up with.
