It was way passed 1774 when the Continental Congress declared Independence. And the war has been raging for many years, we had some wins and some losses. The colonists had the odds stack against them. And they were tired. And they were worn. And they were weary. Yet they wanted justice. They wanted justice for their families. They wanted justice for their children. They wanted justice for their lands. And they weren't ready to give up. They weren't ready to give in. The colonists had fearless leaders from the Continental Congress to the Generals and one of them was George Washington. Washington invested everything he had in the war. And he was determined to win. He was determined to fight to the bitter end. He was experienced and disciplined in duty and service. And he knew how to effectively move Congress and his men. Most people in those days called him the General. The General was always giving his troops, parties and paying for marriages and giving awards when they completed a mission. The General was well protected and well loved by his troops. Everywhere he went there were colonists who became apart of the cause. There were colonists who willingly spied on British Redcoats. There were colonists who risk their lives to help us. And the colonists were united. Those Redcoats were merciless. They were cruel. They treated the colonists like servants even in their own house. And they ate their food, took their clothes, consume their supplies and lied in their Master's Bedroom by order of the King, King George. King George ordered that if the colonists resisted giving the Redcoats access to their goods then the Redcoats could arrest them, attack them or convict them. The colonists were fed up and willing to die for the cause. They knew that they could not look back.

The colonists in the army waited anxiously and worried. The colonists gather together holding their weapons and hurdlingly together. The sergeants are around captains and the soldiers are around soldiers. Everybody is worried and the cold did not help. Some of them was not properly dresses and some of them have been wearing the same clothes for sometime. And some of them was not used to the weather. They heard that the Redcoats had resources coming in. And that they were preparing for a major battle. And their ammunitions was down, moral was neutral. They all was hoping for the General to come in time for supplies, food and support. They waited out in tents and over open fires. Men who were young, some under age. Women, who dressed like men because they wanted to fight like soldiers. Freedmen who were guaranteed rights and freedoms in the new country. Slaves who were loyal to the cause and hope for freedom. Immigrants, who came from different countries because they heard of the colonists' dream and disagreed with King George. They almost were about to give up hope and they were sure that they were gonna lose the war and die before the General come.

Then all of a sudden, there was the sound of horses in the early morning. A band of horses and the General's captain shouting to gather. The colonists cheered and jeered when they heard the sound. Some thought they were captured by the Redcoats but it was the General. Captain Hamilton rode before him. He made the colonists happy because he was the well-liked captain of the Continental Army. Hamilton cheered up the men while the caravan of horses came in and settle. Hamilton told a few jokes and encouraged the colonists insisting that there will be great celebrations in store once the General comes. And after the wide array and display of supplies, Hamilton introduces the General and calls for attention. "Loyal Countrymen, I come on behalf of the Continental Congress as your leader and as you Chief Commander, which I so humbly took by the hand of God. I come to tell you we can win. We can defeat the Redcoats and King George. I have my sources and I know exactly what they are doing. We will celebrate your perseverance and your dedication. But first Hamilton will tell you what you are fighting for then we will pray to the Heavenly Father and begin our attack," said The General. Hamilton thanked the General as he was a distance from the General on the horse. Hamilton shouted attention, "Our leaders, the gentlemen who represented our families, our home, and future country wrote this to the King of England. And they were bold, bold Franklin, bold Adams, bold Hancock, and bold Jefferson. This is my favorite part and I hope it is yours. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal.....Life Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." The colonists cheered and clapped as some colonists dance and play instruments such as the violin and flute. In the coming days, the colonists prepared to eat and dress for the battle. And Washington prayed publicly in front of the colonists and off his horse. He was asking God for victory. And he promised that the new nation will be a nation under God if God saved them from the King and make them a country. Then they were ready for battle with their fierce leader, The General. And as the battle raged and the heat of the battle was intense, the colonists forced the Redcoats in retreat and the colonists forced the Redcoats off the land. The war was over and The General prayed and thank God and he told the colonists "Remember this day, remember this day. Remember the sacrifices. Remember your fellow countrymen. Remember most importantly God. We are a new nation."
