The reason I stopped making suggestions to Vocal.

Well, I almost stopped. I do still jump in here and there.

Who am I...you may well ask. I am who I am.

With a justifiable...Rant.

In my five years at Vocal, I have had ideas, suggestions and even an idea for a new Vocal community.

But did I ever get a mention that I never had to beg for. NEVER!!!!!!!

In fact they were handing out mentions left, right and center, throwing names here, there and everywhere.

They even established the community which I suggested, and were very proud of it. Everyone else who gave them ideas got $10, $20 and whatever bonuses for their suggestions, with their names up in lights for all to see.

I waited and watched for my name...it never came - until I pointed out that the H Community had actually been my idea.

They gave me a pity $10 bonus. Not sure whether I should have been thankful or feel insulted. My idea was right there with everyone else's.

They have used my thoughts and ideas, but never gave me a second thought.

I have contributed...

When I first started here...prizes were being given to only one person for challenges. Thousands of dollars to...ONE PERSON. $10,000, $5000, $1000. etc.

I started rooting for the splitting up of the large sums into smaller sums so more people could benefit. I did so for a long time. I think other people also started to make similar suggestions.

Obviously Vocal started to take notice. Today, more people are feeling included in the winning mix.

Do they even know, or remember why the change was made. Of course not.

A revolution was started by little ole me...unimportant me.

Now many more people are benefitting.

I once wrote an article asking for more cultural representation in Vocal's Top Stories and winnings. I got cussed out, and was ordered by another creator to exit Vocal if I was not pleased with the way they do things.

A holy war of words broke out. Most people supported me.

To be fair, I got a few Top Stories for that rant...The Vocal community found it quite entertaining...and, that time they actually made the effort to be more open-minded about culture and inclusion.

I am happy to say that things have improved in that aspect of those things _ MOSTLY.

I still think people are getting overlooked...except for the very popular ones - and I think it all depends on who is judging at particular times over there at Vocal.

Yes...my rant is justifiable.

If anyone doesn't like it....

They can "Kiss Kitty KY Minus Plus", and not in a good way.

I will have my say.

Well, I must say that I have missed my feisty self.

Gosh, I sure have lost my writing MOJO after those nice people rearranged the arteries in my heart. I spend a lot of time these days arguing with my pulse and blood pressure. That won't do.

So. I am trying real hard to find my writing MOXIE again.

Vocal better beware!
