“You are not fit for our council anymore, Nykteria.” Zeus’s voice bounced off the walls in anger as he gripped his lightning spear in his hand. She froze at his words. She wasn’t scared, no. She was livid. How dare they say she has no right to be there when she’s contributed more than any other living god.

How dare they question her abilities when she can wipe them all out with ease. No, they have no right to say the things they say.

“You are hereby Exiled from the council, as well as Olympus.” Zeus sneered down at her.

She felt her chest bloom with dark anger. Everyone felt the shift in the air, they felt how truly menacing her presence was. She slowly turned her face towards Zeus, her eyes darkening with power as she stared him down.

“You have no right.” She whispered, her eyes glancing down at her hands for a few silent seconds before letting her emotions take over.

None of you have the right to banish me!” She shouted angrily, her eyes piercing through the soul of every immortal god in the room. Her anger seeped through every crevice of the room, making the atmosphere change almost comically. She trembled with anger as they stared at her, some with malice and some fear.

You are no god!” She directed her anger towards Zeus who seemed conflicted with the situation. He gripped his lightning spear while standing up at her words, feeling threatened. She internally smirked at his actions, wanting to pull more from him.

“You are exiled! Leave! Now!” He shouted, slamming the end of his spear into the floor, creating streaks of lightning across the floor around him as well as makeshift thundering sounds that resonate through the room. She tilted her head at him in amusement while her hand instinctively twitched, activating her powers.

To the other gods, it seemed as though nothing was happening but to Zeus? His vision had begun to darken around the corners, growing more dark until there was only Nykteria in his sight. Everything else had vanished completely into darkness. She took slow steps towards him, making him back away from her. He felt a slithering sensation crawl up his spine until a small stream of black fog fell down his arms, encasing his hands in a makeshift cage as his lightning spear fell to the floor with a loud clatter.

“This will not be our last encounter, Zeus.” Her voice was barely above a whisper, but to him it was like she was speaking right into his ear. As his name rolled off her tongue, he felt the wickedness and corruption she held within her.

“We’ll meet again.” She pulled her powers back, revealing everything to him once more. Her words weren’t directed just towards him, but to everyone else around them. After a few silent seconds, she turned and walked out of the room, the viciousness of her presence following her. The room almost physically lightened up once she disappeared, relieving the other gods.
