Once upon a bright morning, in the quiet confines of a bathroom, I encountered a most peculiar sight, a revolting, yucky green worm. Its appearance, though harmless, sent shivers down my spine. Oddly my mood that day was quite buoyant. I swear= the mere thought of harming an ant would sting my conscience. But when I'm feeling down, I don't care about crushing any pitiful being that cross my path.

In those better moments, I spared the worm, a testament to my inner kindness even though my mind said to squish it. D0n't get a wrong idea about my character!!! hahaha! Thinking about doing something bad isn't wrong as long as you don't actually do it. It's my policy. It's our actions that matter. To wrestle these impulses is our victory, distinguishing right from wrong.

The worm, a reluctant companion on the bathroom wall, become a sort of acquaintance. I'd greet it each morning, assuming responsibility for its existence.

The worm didn't move from the wall, it just stuck there, looking kind of chubby. Daily I'd jest, "Will you ever leave this place?" or "Do you plan to be a permanent resident?"

On a fateful day, my routine was disrupted. The worm's form transformed, a casing enveloped it ,wrapped up itself like a present , mirroring science class lectures. OMG it's going to be a butterfly! The realization filled me with unparalleled joy, akin to an expectant mother. I decided to let it be, to allow this intricate metamorphosis to transpire.

My once disdainful attitude morphed into an affectionate one. I eagerly inquired, " When will you emerge?" as days distanced by. But then one day, The worm's usual spot was vacant. Why did its absence sadden me? It was after all a mere creature. Yet, the inability to witness its transformation left me disheartened.

Then, a breathtaking vision materialized before my eyes, a black butterfly adorned with red and white splendor. Words faltered, unable to capture the depth of my emotions. The yucky worm had turned into something beautiful.

Days stretched into weeks, and the bathroom became the butterfly's sanctuary. Foolishly, I assumed it liked being around me. But one day, it vanished. I consoled myself, thinking it had embarked on a joyous journey. However, fate unveiled a grim truth, the butterfly lay lifeless on the floor. Regret swamped me- maybe I should've ended its existence that first day.

The butterfly lingered in my thoughts, its journey a metaphor. The butterfly didn't stay in the bathroom because it enjoyed my company. Instead, it believed that the bathroom was its entire world, its little universe. Caught up in this limited view, it missed out on the chance to explore the joy and wonder, the outside world had to offer.

We often think our sadness and failures are the end, like the butterfly thought the bathroom was its whole world. But we need to remember that we're capable of more, just like the butterfly could have flown away.

Just as I once found the worm repulsive, and like me, assumed a dominant stance, questioning its emergence, there are those who might label us unfavorably and assail us with hurtful words, most of the time disrespect disguised as a form of joke, demanding to know when we'll rise. Yet, when we unfurl into our splendid selves, much like a butterfly, we must also master the art of navigating through periods of desolation. The key lies in soaring to greater altitudes despite the weight of depression , mastering the skies of our emotions, and flourishing in the face of adversity.
