Sporting Chance: Reflections on A Story Every Day So Far (October Edition)
It's November already. Two things occur to me about November. One: it's been nearly a whole year since I put my little book of stories out into the world. Two: I'm in the penultimate month. I'm so close to the home stretch I can bloody well taste it.

When I Stopped Chasing Happiness
For a long time, I thought satisfaction was something I needed to pursue. The more I sought after it, the more tricky it appeared. Society and web-based entertainment continually advised me that satisfaction was an objective - something I would reach once I had the ideal work, a much-enriched home, and a flawless life. However, the harder I pursued, the more depleted I felt, and joy appeared to be further away.

Life Gives You Two Choices
Introduction Life is full of twists and turns, unexpected surprises, and challenges. But at its core, life often boils down to a series of choices. Each day, we are given countless decisions to make, whether big or small. And while some choices may seem trivial, others have the power to change our lives forever. What's even more fascinating is that many of these decisions fall into two basic options: to stay the same or to embrace something new. So, which path will you choose?

Same Planet, Different Realities
Introduction We all live on the same planet, yet our experiences of life can be vastly different. Factors like geography, culture, economic conditions, and social structures mean that no two people experience the world in exactly the same way. The phrase "same planet, different realities" captures how diverse and sometimes unequal life can be, even among people living in the same country or city.

How I Study Consistently With A Full-Time Job
Introduction Life is unpredictable, and if there's one thing it teaches us, it's that the so-called "perfect moment" often doesn't exist. Waiting for the right time can seem like a good idea, but sometimes, it's nothing more than a convenient way to avoid taking action. When we let ourselves wait, we risk never moving forward, missing countless opportunities that could change our lives for the better. So, why not start now?

'Frighten Me! Please?' Winners!
As I write this, there are exactly 100 minutes left in October. Yes, friends and neighbors, sadly, the spooky season is coming to a close. Fortunately, if you're like me, you don't have to wait another year to read a good horror story or watch a spine-tingling thriller on Netflix. These days, authors and Hollywood directors alike push out the chilly stuff every month. Woohoo! Still, I'm saddened to see my favorite month come to an end.
