My Writing Online Goals for May 2026

April was one of my worst months of this year, but I did accomplish one goal that I did not see coming. This is one of the hardest goals I have struggled with for a long time, and I was able to pull it off for this month! Despite not being able to accomplish the majority of my goals, I'm still happy with how the month ended!

Blogger: I think I aimed for way too high of a view count for last month, but I did fail to post four days, because I got way too busy during those days. I ended with 16,893 views, so that was about 3,557 I was able to pull off during last month! My goal was 18,000, so at least I was close!

Medium & Vocal Media: I ended with a total of $9.30 for April. I made about $6.58 on Vocal Media, and $2.72 on Medium. I just needed $5.70 to reach my goal of $15! Glad I decided to lower the goal, because aiming for $25 is not easy for these two platforms at all. 

Benable: I was so close to my goal of $3. I had made about $2.27 in total from Benable, I just needed 73 cents to hit $3! And that's because I only posted once!

Threads: My goal for the month of April was 110 followers, and I was so surprised to reach 119 followers for the month. Threads is not easy to get followers, so that was awesome that I got so lucky this month! 

YouTube: Instead of gaining followers, I lost followers. April did not go well for YouTube, and I think this was for sure the worst month for me for this platform. I posted about four videos in total I think, and none of the videos did well. But at least they were fun to make!

YouTube public watch hours: My goal for the month was 181 public watch hours. I only got 8 watch hours in total, and I only got 148 watch hours in April. I'm glad I had fun making these videos, the Evil Dead was one of my favorite videos to make!

TikTok: I ended with 12,200 followers for April. To be fair, I barely posted last month, but I'm still surprised that one of my videos went viral for a short period!

Now that my losses and wins have been listed…here are my new goals for April.

Blogger: I'm now aiming for 21,000 views. I think I can pull this number off, because if I focus on posting every day without missing a single day, I think it is possible! I have about 17,146 views so far, so I think I got a reasonable goal in mind!

Medium & Vocal Media: I'm going to keep the $15 limit. I truly believe I can achieve this amount, because $25 is pretty unreasonable. I was so close this time, hopefully I can pull it off for this month!

Benable: I'm hoping to hit $3 this month! I need to continue posting, but man, I do forget about this platform sometimes. I have about $32 in total so far, so hopefully I can reach about $40 soon!

Threads: I'm aiming for 140 followers on the platform now. Since one of my posts did go viral, I hit my goal pretty fast for April. I now have 119 so far, so I think this goal is possible for May!

YouTube: I'm still aiming for 1,266 followers. If I continue a consistent posting schedule for YouTube, perhaps this goal will be possible. If not, I will lower the count, because it's not easy to get followers on YouTube!

YouTube public watch hours: I'm still sticking with the same goal of 181 public watch hours. I think May could be a different month, so hopefully I will finally hit my goal!

TikTok: I'm going to stick with the 13,000 followers for this month. I think if I continue to post almost every day, there is a chance for me to achieve this goal! I just need 800 more followers!
