I am Seema Patel. I have many self-published books on Amazon KDP. Let me share about them. It's Part 3.
'Haiku Therapy'
I love reading haikus. Most people know this form of poetry originated in Japan and are loved for their brevity and serenity.
So, I am trying my hand at this form. I often pair my haikus with my art or photography. Sometimes they adhere strictly to the 5–7–5 syllable format; sometimes I exercise flexibility.
This collection is a blend of many of my interests.
Art is my daily antidepressant. This hobby keeps me safe from chaos of daily life.
I notice flora and fauna by spending ample time exploring nature.
Living an immigrant life, nostalgia is inevitable. So, many haikus are inspired from my memories from native land India.
There are haikus on tranquility and garden as well.
There are also a few English Spanish bilingual haikus.
Creativity does not have to follow boundaries.
I hope that you will love the book. Thank you for reading. I will appreciate feedback.
'Let's Learn Spanish'
Learning a new language is hard. The brain resists. You have to be persistent and find a way that works for you to make progress.
I have found mine, this way. I try to understand it by writing a line or two around the arts I make or photos I take.
It’s slow and casual way of learning, which works wonderfully.
You will find here pictures and snippets on them (my perspectives) in both Spanish and English.
So, let’s get started.
'28 Feel Good Poems: Let the poems dispel your stress'
Nature is my therapy. It’s loving embrace dispels my stress. So, I seek to be in its bosom, as often as I can.
Our learned philosophers and poets have said that nature is the antidote we all need. I agree.
My observations have inspired these poems which narrate trees, flowers, birds, beaches, seasons, and so much more.
Let’s reconnect with it and feel better.
Apart from nature appreciation, three other important pillars of my life are learning, creativity, and family. Some of the poems in this collection are based on these important topics.
Together, they make life feel wholesome, I believe.
Let’s make our mortal human journey worthwhile with positive attitude. I am sure this book will make you feel better, by informing and amusing you.
'Pebbles Therapy'
Stress is real. Unfortunately, stress is not going away. We have to find ways to deal with it.
If it’s managed in inexpensive and ecofriendly way, it’s better.
So, among the things I do to cope, I use pebbles and botanicals to create art.
Let me share my pebble projects and inspire you.
A lot of satisfaction can be derived by spending nothing and causing no harm to the earth. I believe in treading lightly on this planet, so it aligns beautifully with my life philosophy.
Try it and savor the creative happiness!
Thank you, neighbors, for the pebbles we picked from your yard to create art. You have no idea that this simple pebble has been transformed into a book—to bring joy and relieve stress to the readers.
'The Gift of Love'
Humans are social creatures, and they seek acceptance. Love is the supreme form of acceptance. So, everybody chases it. Whatever we do, it is for love.
But the path of love is not smooth.
Humans are driven by motivations. As motivations go unmet, love is tested.
Love turns into a value.
Relationships are not going to be any easier, yet awareness helps us make wise decisions.
We cannot expect love without adding value.
Valentine’s Day is a product of commercialization—love has nothing to do with it. Lasting, deep love requires a lot of empathy and support.
Here, I have shared all my love-related photographs. I am sure you will enjoy this book and share it with your loved ones.
'Save with Foraging'
The cost of food is rising, and food supplies are often tainted with chemicals.
Wouldn't it be nice to gather free, delicious, and healthy food from nature? That is what foraging is all about!
I have been foraging for 15 years in Southern California. This hobby has enriched my life. Nowadays, I forage in my neighborhood with my small kids.
I hope my experience will inspire you to give it a try. Look for opportunities near you. For a curious and mindful mind, there are always resources waiting to be discovered.
Learn about plant identification and forage your way to real fresh food.
Foraging is fun, rewarding and kind to nature.
