Lana is quite an interesting person. She is from Kyrgyzstan, which is in Central Asia and is not too far from Russia and borders China. She now lives in the US in Pennsylvania. Every winter she and her son travel to places with a warmer climate. They have visited Brazil, Peru, and Rome. Lana loves to read and she enjoys writing satire and short fiction. She especially enjoys writing political satire of which she has self-published two books.

When Kristen first joined Vocal she mostly wrote poetry and children’s stories, As time has gone on she has challenged herself and she has become a diverse and prolific writer. She has even written a horror story.

But there's more to Kristen, she was a Runner-up in the Snafu Senryu challenge and she took first place in the Quadru-Haiku challenge. She also receives Top Stories on a regular basis.

The following is Ray's introduction in his own words:

“I'm a UK-based author. I was a business / tech journalist a long, long time ago and still like to write articles and reviews. In recent years I have tried to write much more fiction but, ironically, I seem to get more interest for my non-fic. My main fictional genres (mostly short stories and flash fiction) are historical and sci-fi (very similar I think) and I like to include an element of mystery in all of my stories. My only book-length story to date is Run with the Pack, a wolfy adventure, now serialized on Vocal ( https://vocal.media/chapters/run-with-the-pack-contents ). My non-fiction subjects include art, tech, and the human condition. I have written a fair amount about AI recently. I try to have a go at most Vocal challenges.
