Keeping Things Tidy On Your Vocal Stories
And Other Publications

Introduction
Although I have written about these things before (see the links in the conclusion) I am still wondering if most Vocal Creators publish their work and then forget about it.
I want all my work to be worth peoples time to read, but sometimes things become out of date, or links become broken.
How I Approach This
Before Vocal I ran my Seven Days In blog and began including YouTube videos as part of the posts. Over the last year Google's Adsense began paying money, and I noticed some stories did not have a video, hut and images like the one below showing a broken/withdrawn YouTube link.

As I thought this was not a good look and I always mentioned the video, I replaced it with one that worked. While 99.99% of my blog visitors are robots, I still think that all the entries should be fully functional.
My blog is here, and apologies for the pop up adverts if you check it out, they bring the money in, I believe.
I noticed the same with some Vocal Stories, this is an old example (The Bad Fire).

However since the Upgrade stories with issues seem to just disappear

This is not not the last page of stories I liked so the two spaces imply stories that have issues causing Vocal not to display them. Even if they have issuaes we should still be able to read them.
I also just recently noticed that when you press the three dots, you get the option to revert to draft, which means we can republish stories which we believe have not got enough reads, or new readers may not have seen.

One of my most read stories is on the Vocal Editor, but since the upgrade this is largely irrelevant, so I put a link to my observations on the new editor that hopefully people will find useful.
One thing I have noticed is that if you use a video as the main image, you can't make changes, so always make sure you use an image. You can use a video but after publication you can't edit unless you replace the video with an image. Then you and include the video as the first bit in your story.
Conclusion
I know this is a bit all over the place, but I do look ALL my work to be accessible and to work, no broken links, or lost videos.
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you found someting useful in here.
