It looks like I am in Vocal's bad books again, no Top Stories for a month. When I mention this to people they say I should be grateful because I am liked and successful.
I have started wondering why this happens and I believe that Vocal have a rota of people earmarked for Top Stories, or they have a list of people who will not get Top Stories. Both of these ideas are paranoid thoughts and probably not true, but when you see other creators with four or five Top Stories since you had one it preys on your mind a bit.
I know I am seem as bad because I criticise Vocal, but that is not balanced by my praise for them.
There are two other things, my reads have gone up significantly, obviously not from other Vocal creators so that may be affecting my eligibility. I know how good my work is from the comments that I receive from my close friends and supporters so I am in a good place with that. I know other creators don't get the reads that I do, but that means I am bringing others to the Vocal platform and still getting sign-ups to Vocal+ from the Ambassador Program.
Thanks to Vocal's flawed stats reporting and apparent inability to let us know reads on individual stories I don't which stories are getting the reads, but maybe one day they will rectify that.
The other thing is I have applied emojis to my name to make it more noticeable, and I am wondering if that means that the system won't pick me up, but again I don't think it's that.
Sorry if this seems like a mega-whine but I had to get it off my chest and I will go back to doing what I do well.

Thank you so much for putting up with me
The music is "I Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty
And I have to thank Vocal for being OK with allowing me this rant.
