The Bell Tolls for You!

Oyez, oyez, oyez! Hear ye, hear ye!

Undust your bell. Get your cause on. The soapbox is yours.

In honor of International Town Criers Day (second Monday in July), and with a nod to the International Day of Friendship (30th July).

A simple request, if you will.

What truth will you holler from the hilltops? What connection will you celebrate—or denounce?

From poetic proclamations celebrating an unlikely friendship to tales of traitors and betrayal. Personal, political, or fantastical, let it ring loud and clear.

Your cry can be lyrical or furious, heartfelt or hilarious. Heady or toxic: A eulogy to a lost friendship or a love letter to the ones who’ve stood beside you when it mattered most. Or take the soapbox literally. What’s your cause? What hill will you die on? Who will you defend until the bell tolls? Who or what would you drag into the metaphorical town square for public reckoning and retribution?

Your submission can be fiction, non-fiction, poetry, or anything in between.
