Can An Old Reshared Vocal Piece Ever Be A Top Story?

Some Thoughts On My Current Vocal Actions

By Mike Singleton ๐Ÿ’œ Mikeydred Published 5 months ago โ€ข 1 min read

Introduction

When I started reusing stories during my issues last year, I realised that most of my old work was still excellent, but many of my new readers would be unaware of it. After all, who goes through another creator's back catalogue just to see what they might have written?

Sometimes I go back through old stories I've liked, or the excellent Vocal search throws up some interesting old stories by other creators:

Resharing My Stories

While some of my reshared stories have been Top Stories, I have noticed that others receive a lot of new reads and responses because they are worth reading. However, I wonder if this could make them considered for a Vocal Top Story.

I know recently they made a lot of challenge placements in Top Stories as well, so age is not necessarily a show stopper, though I have not seen any really old publications get a Top Story.

I still wonder how a story published an hour ago can be deemed worthy of a Top Story unless the author is on a preferred list or a friend of the voting moderator, but we know Vocal would never do that, would they?

Conclusion
