“The World has a lot of love and compassion and very less cruelty. You are not in an abandoned world. You are in a world with a lot of love and belongingness. Have faith in the goodness of people.” - Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

You When there are disagreements between groups of individuals or communities, conflicts develop; occasionally they turn violent or verbal. Their problems end on their own if no one intervenes, but wherever there are disputes between groups of people, one or more capitalist organizations usually magnify the problem, prolonging the situation and the conflict. Making it a matter of pride as well.

On episode 10 of 5 Am Hive, RJ Bharat welcomed Mr. Suraj Duseja as a special guest. Mr. Duseja is a contemporary author of "Man who froze fire: True Stories of Conflict," which focuses on Sanjay Kumar's life story and how he resolved conflicts. This book was created under the direction of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar,

So, What is Conflict Transformation?

The process of changing conflict-habituated systems into peacekeeping systems is referred to as conflict transformation. Due to its emphasis on systemic transformation, this approach is often confused with conflict resolution, but they both differ due to their systems.

This 5 am Blog focuses on a few snippets from Sanjay Ji's life on how he transformed cutthroat enemies into friends. Art of Life plays a vital role in this transformation.

Mr. Duseja further continues by describing how he first saw Sanjay Ji by chance at a campus gathering and subsequently persuaded Sanjay Ji to share with him his methods for resolving conflicts.

“So we were deciding on a project what do we want to do. Because there is a sense of the [not clear] in the nation you know the energy is up. We cant make something out of it. So, we were sitting in a café in the international centre. Vishala café and udhar ek group tha like around the round table. and they just talking and akhele kya kar sakte all that and Punjab ko lekhe sabse pahale topic ye hi aate- trucks. So like Youknow.. I mean trucks ke bhare me kuch karna hai. Youth ko bahar nikhalna hai. And we do something involved courses, rallies , ee, vo and you know all that. And on the table, next to us, couple who just sitting and like you know..eating. I am seeing like ki ye lady hai. She is smiling. Baar baar dekhar you know.. hamaari conversation sunke hans riye.and the person is steadfastly just focused on his food. Like you know.. aur bath ho rahi hai and to finally get a sort of irritated or exhausted something apne uska cheer turn ki. And introduced ki mera naam Sanjay. Sirf ek dham se the Senior teachers, jo hamaara har ek group and they knew him.“

Gurudev oversaw the entire process and served as the liaison that brought together individuals like Mr. Duseja and Mr. Sanjay to create something amazing. As Mr. Duseja continues, he describes how Sanjay Ji intervened in the conflict between Ranvir Sena and CPIM by bringing the two parties to the Ashram and entirely changing them into assets for society. Duseja presents the case of Anup Chetiya, a Direct General who served 16 years in jail and is now trying to rebuild Assam after being guided by Gurudev and residing at the Ashram.

When Gurudev requested him to invite members of parties that were embroiled in a territorial conflict in the north, Sanjay Kumar's leadership qualities came into being. In the early 2000s, when there were no phones and no way to communicate, he had to plan a lot. He had to make sure that none of them ever came into contact with one another because if they did, they would all murder one another. To prevent them from killing one other, he seats both parties in nearby train carriages, with Sanjay Ji spending the night in an unsanitary space between the two coaches.

“now he is sitting you know, imagine old sleeper coach train, there is very smelly toilet in the middle; like you know, dividing the two bogies and all that; and he is sitting there, the side from the smell;I have shown the scene as it is; like you know.. and it is their stand, sitting guard, the whole night, not sleeping a bit ki if someone wants to sneak like you know..because it is the leadership na, if that kills leadership, all is over; we have won the war and all that. Someone does not get that idea; he is sitting in the middle not sleeping whole night , not brushing; no.. they done nothing; he has done nothing; he is just sitting, not eating anything, just making sure ki no one goes from the other side ki marke khatam karke; ki like you know, making sure ki like they all reach there;”
