These epic all-terrain vehicles were recently sold from government auctions. If you're interested in going somewhere in a vehicle, then you're going to love these. Check them out!

Try guessing the sale price listed at the end of each entry! It's up to you to decide if they were bargains or not.

1. A Brand New Sherp Pro!

2019 Sherp Pro

If you're reading this article you were probably enticed by the awesome cover photo, which means you've heard of the Sherp Pro before. These little guys really exploded in popularity after appearing on Top Gear in 2016. At only 12 feet, they prove length isn't everything: spirit and endurance is what matters. A four cylinder diesel engine built to withstand frozen wastelands and hot deserts means they can go anywhere: marshes, glaciers, muddy slopes, even into the rough terrain of our hearts. However, they won't be going anywhere quickly with 44 horsepower and a top speed of 25mph. It sure beats walking though.

Interior design by the cast of Duck Dynasty.

If you've never seen the interior of one of these, prepare to be amazed. It's like Gucci did a collaboration with Cabella's. And it's got overhead switches.

Conquer terrain in style for... $73,500.

2. Unimog 4X4

2007 Unimog U400 4X4

Yeah alright, a Unimog! Sweet. Unimogs were first developed in post-war Germany as rugged agricultural equipment, and that tradition of power and versatility continued right up to their modern trucks. This cab and bare chassis is the perfect platform for any addition, and it's a 4x4 with front and rear differential locks.

This mid-size truck's about perfect for any application. It's not so big as to be impractical but also not too small to do some serious work. You could haul a hundred helium tanks across a muddy field to fill an airship, for example. Or tow that same airship back across that muddy field. Just some ideas.

Tickets to the Unimog convention... $32,200.

3. A Real Submarine

2003 IVC Corp TourSub V Submarine

Finally, a private submarine that's not just for the military and the ultra-rich. It looks homemade and terrifying, yes, but how else will you truly conquer that lake in your backyard? As long as it's less than 66 feet deep, this submarine can take you and five of your friends to the bottom. That's right, apparently this tiny submarine is rated to carry six people down more than six stories underwater. Almost unbelievable. It's also rated for both salt and fresh water, so if that lake isn't scary enough for you then go ahead and take it for a spin in the actual ocean. Good luck.

Discover a new species of terror for only... $43,000.

4. Duck Tour Bus

1943 GMC Amphibious Duck

Start your own "Capital Duck" tours! The decals are all ready to go. Take up to 25 people on a surprise detour across the Atlantic ocean! Okay, maybe don't. This truck is nearly 80 years old and looking at it wrong might make it sink. But when parking this beast gets annoying in the city you can always tie it up to a dock, so that's a bonus. It also comes equipped with no fewer than 20 mirrors so you'll really be able to see what's going on when this old military truck sinks to the bottom of the lake.

Headed to Mexico.

Impersonate a tour company for... $20,000.

5. Amphibious Excavator

2010 Komatsu Amphibious Excavator

There aren't many things you can't do with an amphibious excavator. It's bigger than an M1 Abrams tank, and unlike an M1 Abrams tank, it can float. The massive sealed tank pontoons will take you over any terrain imaginable, even when the terrain runs out and turns to water. It's not armed with weapons, but it is armed with a hydraulic arm. Instead of making war, you can make dams and canals. Go forth into marshes, into streams, go forth and build your paradise in the mud.

The price of waging peace... $40,100.

Keeping a sharp lookout on government auction sites can win you some sweet all-terrain vehicles, and much more besides. Thanks for scrolling through this list. For more, check out my profile.
