The legendary race track did not disappoint the fans of the Royal Race and presented a real action and sensation, where the key figures were British teams and British pilots. No, they didn't move Max Verstappen, and he continues to race to his third championship title at full speed. However, a fascinating struggle is unfolding behind the Dutchman's back. And the main creator of this intrigue was McLaren.

The British team did not shine this season. In the first nine stages, the team finished in the top five only once. And it happened at the previous stage, the Austrian Grand Prix, where Lando Norris finished fourth. At the time, McLaren announced that they had begun to implement an update package. However, the improvements became more noticeable in Silverstone. "The McLaren was simply stunning in its speed. This was clearly evident at the start of the race, when Norris managed to beat Verstappen and during the race, when the British stable repelled the attacks of Mercedes. As a result, Lando Norris finished second. Oscar Piastri, despite losing the fight for the podium to Lewis Hamilton, showed the best result in his career, finishing fourth. The example of McLaren proves that technical changes during the season can change the balance of power in the championship. Of course, this is just one successful race so far. But it is clear that the car has made amazing progress. So we are waiting for more surprises.

McLaren's results cast a shadow over all other results of the British Grand Prix. For example, the current champion Max Verstappen has never won at Silverstone before. For the Dutchman, this victory was his sixth in a row and eighth of the season. This victory was also historic for the Red Bull team - the eleventh victory in a row. I would like to remind you that the bull series began with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the end of last season and continues throughout this season. Previously, only McLaren managed to win 11 victories in a row back in 1988, when the legendary Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost played for the team.

I think that the results of the British Grand Prix have seriously embarrassed Mercedes. The German team is constantly looking for the car's progress and had high hopes for the British stage. Moreover, Lewis Hamilton is almost always successful on this track. He has eight wins at Silverstone. This time, however, the British failed to impose a fight against the top two cars. Hamilton finished third. And Mercedes continues to rack its bruin as to how to increase speed.

It seems that Aston Martin is not keeping up with the pace of car progress either. If in the spring everyone predicted that the second place in the Constructors' Cup would definitely go to the British, now it is true. At Silverstone, Fernando Alonso squeezed the most out of the car, but it was only enough to finish seventh in the final protocol.

However, Williams is moving in the right direction. As soon as the team announced that they were implementing the update, they immediately took points. Alex Albon came in eighth. So far, these are the first signs of progress. However, the team demonstrates cohesion, has a fighting spirit, and it is quite possible that Williams will finish in the points zone again at the next rounds in Budapest and Spa.

The Silverstone stage fully exposed Ferrari's weaknesses. Charles Leclair and Carlos Sainz only closed the scoring zone, while Scuderia has a lot to think about. After good results in Austria, the team in Foggy Albion took a wrong turn.

The main outcome of the British Grand Prix is that most teams have learned to reboot during the season. Of the ten teams in the championship, more than half have become competitive. McLaren proved that it is ready to fight for a podium place, while Williams turned from an outsider into a team that will fight for points. And you can't help but like this Formula 1. After all, competition is a key component in this sport.
