How much does a 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage cost?

If cost is a major consideration, you might want to start looking at Mitsubishi cars. The Mitsubishi Mirage 2022, which has made headlines for its ultra-low MSRP, is a terrific place to start. However, many amenities that we today take for granted are not included in the base trim of any vehicle. A fully equipped Mirage is still relatively reasonable while delivering most of the comforts you could look for in a car, thanks to its low base price.

What is the cost of a Mitsubishi Mirage base trim model?

The Mitsubishi Mirage ES 5MT trim is dirt-cheap, with a starting MSRP of only $14,645. This subcompact hatchback is exceptionally inexpensive, outshining the majority of its rivals. A Nissan Versa or a Kia Rio will cost more money. Furthermore, even if the Chevrolet Spark is around $1,000 less costly, a sub-$15,000 automobile is still a bargain.

Starting at $17,195, you may upgrade to the BE trim. It's somewhat more expensive than the Kia Rio's highest trim ($17,190). The top trim of the Nissan Versa starts at over $18,000, while the Chevrolet Spark's starts at $17,495, so it's still a good price for a fully-loaded car.

With the Mirage, Mitsubishi prioritizes cost above luxury. As a result, the Mirage BE won't provide you with the most luxurious inside materials, the highest performance, or the most cutting-edge technology. Even so, a fully loaded Mirage will get you where you need to go with all of the standard features you'd expect in a car.

What's included with the Mitsubishi Mirage BE trim level?

The Mitsubishi Mirage's key point of uniqueness, regardless of trim, is its price. That means they are better alternatives elsewhere if you're seeking for performance, style, and comfort. The Mirage, on the other hand, may be your everyday car if you're on a tight budget and need to move around town.

According to Car and Driver, the BE trim (and all lower-level vehicles) has a 1.2-liter engine with 78 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque. This weak engine, paired with a CVT automatic transmission, will not accelerate quickly and is somewhat loud. The Mirage, on the other hand, has excellent fuel efficiency. In a fuelled Mirage, you'll get 36/43 mpg city/highway, which is the greatest in its class.

However, its cabin does not improve its usability as a daily car, even if its fuel efficiency increases. It's made up of a mix of cloth and hard polymers that aren't really comfortable. It has enough storage capacity as well as headroom and legroom in the front seats. It's a tight fit in the back for taller drivers.

A 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a four-speaker audio system, are available to passengers in the front seat.

What Mirage options and accessories are there?

Mitsubishi provides a number of extras that may be added to the standard Mirage to improve your driving experience. The Protection Value Package, for example, includes a roadside assistance package, front and rear mudguards, scuff plates, and rear bumper protection for $395. The Welcome package, which includes a Touch-Up paint pen and carpeted floor mats, is available for $155.

A Popular Value package is also available for the Mitsubishi Mirage. A luggage mat, rear bumper protection, and exhaust finisher are all available for $295. Sensors for parking assistance will set you back $655. A Rockford Fosgate Premium Audio system may be purchased for $595 if you're seeking for a high-quality sound system.

Finally, a $190 armrest console, $155 front and rear mudguards, and $145 body side moldings are available from Mitsubishi. With all of these additions, you're just looking at a few thousand dollars more, bringing your total to around $20,000. On pricing alone, a fully loaded new Mirage with all the bells and whistles is difficult to match. What about the rest of it? Not at all.
