Three years of waiting are over. The last customer to order one of forty Bugatti Divos in 2018 can finally start driving. The Blue Divo was also the last to be produced by the French automaker. Divo ends forever.

You couldn't just buy this car. In 2018, selected Bugatti Chiron owners began to come to Molsheim, France, the headquarters of Bugatti, with the intention that they would have the opportunity to see a car even more exclusive than what they already have from Bugatti. That car was divo. By the way, built just on the basis of Chiron.

The reaction was that even before Divo presented the whole world at the famous Concours d'Elegance show in Pebble Beach, all forty of the planned pieces had already had their owners. "After seeing the Divo for the first time, customer feedback was extremely positive. The cars were sold within a few weeks," recalls Hendrik Malinowski, Bugatti's sales director.

Forty cars sold meant that Bugatti would collect a total of 200 million euros, i.e. more than five billion crowns, at a sale price of five million euros excluding tax for one car. And that's a strong argument for not sending this project to the water. In 2018, it was the most expensive car Bugatti has ever offered customers. The first Bugatti Divo reached the customer last year. Virtually none of the cars sold are the same. Customers willing to spend millions of euros as part of individual wishes were given everything that was technically possible. As an example, Bugatti cites a piece named Lady Bug.

Its owner, an American car collector, invented a red body design with geometric patterns in the shape of diamonds. In addition, it was necessary to develop special colors in a metallic shade that would highlight a sufficient contrasting effect. It took the design team more than a year and a half to find and implement technical and graphic solutions for this one car alone.

Even Bugatti admitted that Lady Bug was extreme from a manufacturing point of view, but the customer's wishes are everything with this brand. And most importantly, there's still the philosophy given by the automaker's founder, Ettore Bugatti, who once said a simple but crystal clear sentence: "If it's comparable, it's no longer Bugatti."

Even the very last Bugatti Divo has its own design. Its new owner seems to be mindful of tradition, as he chose the blue color Bugatti EB 110 LM when ordering. It commemorates the last official Bugatti factory race car that took part in the Le Mans races.

But what all Divo models have the same is the French flag on both the right and left fenders. It is meant to pay tribute to the French racer Albert Diva, who won a number of racing victories for Bugatti in the first half of the 20th century. Among other things, in six Grand Prix races and twice in targa Florio, where he beat his rivals in a Bugatti Type 35, which was also driven by Eliška Junková.The Bugatti Divo with a sixteen-cylinder eight-liter with a capacity of 1500 hp and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 in 2.4 seconds ends. Full house. It's quite possible that this car capable of driving at 380 kilometers per hour was one of the last with the Bugatti logo on the hood to do without electric motors.

But we have one piece of good news. The secondary market quite easily understood that Divo would be an attraction for collectors. All you have to do is type "Bugatti Divo for sale" into the search engine and select. But you won't get below five million euros with the price. It simply won't be cheaper.
