Aston Martin has officially released the official images of the quasi-production version of its top sports car, the Valkyrie, which was jointly designed and built by Aston Martin and the Red Bull Formula One racing team. Production of the new car is scheduled to begin in late 2018, with a total of 150 units in production and official delivery to customers in 2019 at the earliest.

The quasi-production version of the Aston Martin Valkyrie features a more production-ready design than the previously released AM-RB 001 prototype, with the official announcement saying that the exterior design of the quasi-production version released this time has reached 95 percent of production-ready.

The new car maintains the aerodynamic design of the AM-RB 001 prototype, but with a new front spoiler that looks very similar to the F1 car. Even the new car is not designed with a front bumper so that the overall front suspension shape can be seen. In addition, Valkyrie's production-ready version is equipped with lightweight headlight clusters and windshield wipers. In addition, the car is not designed with traditional exterior mirrors, but with a camera instead, which is displayed on LCD screens on both sides of the A-pillar inside the car.

Side view, the overall shape of the Valkyrie is very similar to the current part of the Hypercar design, but the semi-open front and rear wheel shape, as well as the sidelines, look more complex. Aston Martin has not yet disclosed the aerodynamic effect that these lines can bring. It is worth mentioning that the new car also uses a rare gull-wing door design.

The Valkyrie does not have a so-called rear bumper design, the huge rear diffuser even protrudes from the entire car, and even the exhaust is laid out above the rear of the new car to make the air pass quickly at the bottom of the new car. With the rear spoiler and the new taillight cluster shape, it gives a very peculiar feeling.

Thanks to the semi-open wheel design, you can even see the front end directly from the front rear of the Valkyrie, and the aerodynamic effect of this close to F1 or Le Man's racing styling is that - the car generates a downforce of 1816kg when driven at top speed. In addition, thanks to the carbon fiber body and magnesium alloy wheels, the new car has a total weight of only 1030kg.

The interior design of the Valkyrie is based on the concept of minimal ergonomics. Due to the carbon fiber monocoque body, we can see the unadorned interior of the car, with enough exposed carbon fiber patterns to raise the desire to drive. In addition, most of the physical buttons and an OLED display are designed on top of a near-rectangular removable steering wheel, which is responsible for displaying all of the new car's vehicle information, as well as its functional operations.

Aston Martin announced that the new car has enough interior space for two adults, including pure carbon fiber built seats that are almost integrated into the body (not adjustable), but can be customized to fit the customer's body and sit in a position that is close to the Le Man's driving position.

Power, the Valkyrie will be a hybrid design, where the 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 engine will have a maximum power of more than 912 horsepower, plus a new kinetic energy recovery system, with a combined maximum power of 1146 horsepower. The transmission will be matched with a 7-speed gearbox. Although the announced Valkyrie is still not enough to meet the production standard, the design is now 95% complete. So far the Valkyrie has received more than 300 orders from around the world, including China, but its planned production is only 150 units, and we will continue to wait to see who the car will end up with.
