It's true, those who live in Vancouver do have pretty exciting Instagrams. This is because of the stellar scenery practically everywhere you go. Whether you want mountains, city, ocean, you name it, it's all in Vancouver. Here are Vancouver's top "Instagramable" places right now.

Do you have photos on your Instagram in one these places?

Capilano Suspension Bridge

While fairly obvious, and perhaps basic, Capilano is still a very popular spot for Vancouver Instagramers. It can definitely be a challenge, though, trying to snap a good pic with all the tourists around. You have to be committed and go early in the morning when not too many people are there yet. Either way, there are many spots to stop and take cool photos in the park, and with a little photoshop the tourists can disappear!

Sea to Sky

While Sea to Sky (whether the entire highway, or specifically the Gondola) is a ways out of Van, it is also a very popular tourist spot and of course, a very popular one on Instagram. The views from the top are stellar, and make for some rad photos. Plus if you're up for it, there are tons of hikes to do at the top. If not, grab a cold drink in the restaurant and admire all the views.

Joffre Lakes

Joffre Lakes is closer to Whistler than Vancouver, but WORTH the drive. This hike is stunning. Every view point motivates you to get to the next one. The water, the mountains, the winter wonderland at the top, it's all spectacular. Grab a tent or camp in the parking lot overnight and get an early start as this hike is POPULAR and always busy.

Brockton Point

This adorable lighthouse sits within Stanley Park, and is an awesome place to go for a bike ride, picnic, photoshoot, or just to show your friends the beauty of Van! With stunning views and lots to do Stanley Park will keep you busy.

Quarry Rock, Deep Cove

This wildly popular hike just outside of Van is VERY Instagram'ed. It's a nice short hike, with an awesome view at the top. The view of the islands, North Van, and Vancouver all in the background make for gorgeous photos. Not to mention, the pretty teal water below. Grab some friends and your camera, this hike will not disappoint! (Fair warning, though, there are MANY many stairs.) Bonus though, there are many cute little pizza shops in Deep Cove to indulge in afterwards.

Downtown Murals

Vancouver has some crazy talented folks living here who have created some awesome street art. After the recent mural festival, the city is booming with vibrant insta-worthy walls.

Here is a cheatsheet of the most popular murals in Van:

  • Techno Mural (above): W6th & Granville
  • Floral Wall Mural: 8th & Main
  • City Centre Mural: 2111 Main Street
  • The Colourful Alleyway: South of W. Hastings and in between Granville and Seymour St.

Brandywine Falls, Squamish

Also out of Van a ways, but well worth the drive! It's a bit of a hike down to the bottom of these falls, and a bit sketchy in certain areas (like the part where you use a rope to descend down the side of a mountain, or the part where you hop from rock to rock for quite some time). It's also not quite legal, BUT if you turn a blind eye to all of those things, it's so worth it when you get to the bottom. The falls powerfully rush down, spraying you with water even from hundreds of feet back. It's stunning and (despite this moody edited photo) very lush, bright, and vibrant.

Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach, and well, the whole Sea-Wall in general are beautiful places to take photos. Whether you go in the day and capture this awesome sculpture, or at night to admire the sunset and city lights, you'll leave with gorgeous insta-worthy pics guaranteed.

Prospect Point

Drive (or bike!) through Stanley Park and you'll find Prospect Point. Prospect Point has stunning views of both the city and Lions Gate Bridge, with a bonus of the water below you. Grab your friends, grab an ice cream, and go take some wicked photos on the view decks! Plus if you walk a bit further down the sidewalk, you can snap cool photos of the bridge straight on.
