Thursday, November 14, two Scottish cyclists who have both circumnavigated the globe in record time have met in Edinburgh.

Mark Beaumont and Jenny Graham hold the records for quickest male and female circumnavigation by bike, setting seasons of 78 days 14 hours 40 minutes and 124 days 11 hours separately, and were participated in the Scottish capital by Guinness World Records' Supervisor in-Boss, Craig Glenday, to send off GWR Day 2019.Off the rear of their record-breaking ventures, the current year's occasion has the subject, Soul of Experience, planning to urge individuals to propel themselves and endeavor a record - whether that be by voyaging, making something, cooperation or taking a stab at something that tests your abilitiesWhatever you need to endeavor however, both record holders have significant guidance.

Jenny advised, "I'd say stick in there at the beginning." The hardest part is getting to the starting line. You are once you cross the starting line. When Jenny left Berlin's Brandenburg Gate on June 16, 2018, she began her record-breaking journey. She cycled 18,000 miles through 16 countries, including Germany, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Mongolia, China, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, and Holland before returning to the German landmark on October 18, four months later. Jenny's accomplishment is made even more laudable by the fact that she pedaled for 15 hours each day, covering an average of 156 miles each day without assistance.

"I was eager to see how far I could go, and now I am officially the holder of a world record! I didn't know what to expect when I set out in Bike Week this time last year, but the journey was amazing, exhausting, and ultimately changed my life. I would encourage anyone to ride a bike and discover that they are far more capable than they think they are. "GWR's Proofreader in-Boss, Craig Glenday, added: " In addition to earning her a spot in the Guinness World Records 2020 edition, Jenny's accomplishment also serves as a catalyst for this year's Guinness World Records Day (GWR Day); the yearly festival of record breaking that happens in November every year.

"This year, GWR Day will honor the spirit of adventure, and participation is open to all. Regardless of whether you're looking for knowledge, adrenaline, or simply want to push yourself and try something new. Put your Soul of Experience under a magnifying glass and become Formally Amazing!"The beginning of Jenny's excursion, and the send off of GWR Day 2019, both occur in Bicycle Week, a yearly occasion which urges individuals to change to two wheels as a feature of their daily existences. On 16 June 2018, Jenny Graham set off on the excursion that could only be described as epic from Berlin's Brandenburg Door.

She returned on October 18, four months later, to finish her female attempt at the fastest bicycle circumnavigation.

She beat the previous record by 20 days by cycling 18,000 miles in 124 days and 11 hours across Europe, Asia, Oceania, and North America.

Her accomplishment not only earned her a spot in Guinness World Records 2020, but it also helped establish Guinness World Records Day this year, which encourages individuals to embark on an adventure and possibly break a record. She stated, "I think a lot of them thought I was crazy for taking it on when I told my friends and family about this."

"But when they realized I meant it, they were really supportive and encouraging from the beginning."

Jenny endured a year planning for her excursion which included cycling 20 hours per week, yet additionally other wellness work and various visa applications for her round-the-world outing. This, all on top of her regular occupation as a Kids' Administration Laborer for Good country Board in Scotland.
