Cedar Point

It’s not a surprise Cedar Point is first on the list—it’s one of the top amusement parks in the country! Named after the cedar trees present across the park, this attraction boasts record-breaking coasters like the Top Thrill Dragster, which is the second tallest roller coaster in the world at a whopping 420 feet, and Valravn, the tallest, fastest, and longest dive coaster. A must-visit for thrill seekers, this park offers fun for all ages.

Put-in-Bay

Put-in-Bay is a village located on South Bass Island in Lake Erie. Travel by ferry across the lake to explore caves, enjoy wine at Heineman Winery, and take in the views from the top of Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial. An important scene during the War of 1812, Put-in-Bay is well worth the trip!

East Harbor State Park

If you’re looking to swim in the Great Lakes, East Harbor State Park is the perfect place! The park is right on the shore of Lake Erie and includes a beach area, campground, marina, and wetland wildlife preserve areas. Located in Lakeside Marblehead, it’s only a short drive from Cedar Point.

Kalahari

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is Ohio’s largest indoor waterpark. Test your surfing skills on the FlowRider or brave the Zip Coaster, Kalahari’s water roller coaster! Relax in the lazy river, soak in the hot tub, and float in the wave pool. The resort also features a spa, arcade, candy shop, and a variety of restaurants. Located in Sandusky, it’s not far from Cedar Point either!

The Toledo Museum of Art

Located in the Old West neighborhood of Toledo, this internationally known museum includes a collection exceeding 30,000 pieces. Besides their usual collections, the museum showcases new and unique exhibitions from various artists so there something different and exciting every time you visit. The best part is admission is free!

Imagination Station

Looking for something exciting for the kids? Look no further! Also located in Toledo, the Imagination Station is a non-profit, hands-on science museum featuring over 300 exhibits. Ride a bicycle 20 feet in the air, propel yourself off the ground on a yo-yo, and challenge the way your brain perceives the world in the MindZone. The museum also offers the Little KIDSPACE for children of kindergarten age and lower. Admission prices only reach $12, so why not go?

The Toledo Zoo

The Toledo Zoo is home to over 10,000 animals of 720 different species. The zoo features animals native to Africa, the Arctic, and even the bottom of the sea! The zoo also contains a butterfly house, aquarium with a touch tank, and gardens. If you’re visiting in the winter, you can enjoy The Lights Before Christmas and take a photo in front of the 85-foot Christmas tree featured in USA Today’s 10 Travel-Worthy Christmas trees in the United States!

Sauder Village

Sauder Village is a non-profit live history museum in Archbold, Ohio. Learn about the way of life in Ohio during the 19th century through artisanal glass-blowing, pottery, woodworking, and more. Visit the bakery for cookies, apple dumplings, pies, and bread. Ride on the train or a horse-drawn carriage, visit a Native American village, and meet farm animals. The village also features a campground with splash pad, fishing, bike trail, and playground.
