There are so many resorts and hotels out there and more hotels are opening every year. From small boutique to 5-star luxury, high-touch luxury to all- with everything included resorts, there are infinite factors to think about when choosing a hotel. Where you stay can make or shatter your whole trip, so you don’t want to make a hasty decision. I had a friend who shared her experience staying in a south Indian hotel in Coimbatore as she explained I got to know that she had a proper plan for selecting the star hotels in Coimbatore. Many online Travel Advisors inspect hotels around the world and know what type of hotel is perfect for families, honeymoons, travelers, business trips, and everything in between. We got a few factors or tips to look into from these professionals for how to choose the perfect hotel. These are the factors we noted.

Room Size

In many hotels, Not all hotel rooms or suites are designed equal, Mainly if it’s a traditional or historical hotel in a century building. A good-sized room starts at around 500 square feet. The proper definition of a “good-sized” room also depends on which place you’re on!

Rest Rooms

Some hotel restrooms are the size of a small apartment. Others feel crowded with one or two people in them. When choosing a hotel, remember to ask about the restroom size and amenities. Do you want a separate shower and bathtub? Dual vanities? Ask for it, This is one of the most important factors to check in a star hotel.

Style

Hotels are taking style to a different level in recent years. Forget feeling like you could be anywhere in the world in a cookie-cutter hotel room as many are using a sense of place into their designs and styles. Some hotels have a very traditional feel while others are all about chic, modern looks with very high design. Sharp lines, whites, glass rooms, and contrast colors.

Accessibility

Hotels in the States are following strict ADA requirements (Americans with Disabilities Act), but that is not the case for the rest of the world especially India. Let your travel advisor or hotel know about any mobility issues that you have, even if they don’t seem like a big issue. Small or no elevators, paving or cobblestones, showers with a huge step up, or a room located on the far end of a building could end up being a much bigger difficulty than you realize.

Size

There are charming 12-room, family-owned properties, huge 300+ room resorts, and everything which counts. Each size has its advantage and disadvantages. A smaller, boutique property can have more personalized service and feel like you are staying at home. However, due to the measurement of the property, it may not offer the facilities of a large property like a big spa, cafe, or fitness center. A bigger hotel, especially the five-star properties, will have all the attractive additional features. When you get into the mega, conference-center in hotels, you can often find a better range but lose the personalized touches. If you’re staying in a hotel like that, be sure to check that there is not a big event happening at the hotel so you’re not a leisure traveler in a sea of business conference guests.

View

Is that the view important to you as a traveler? Think about how much time you want to spend in your room and if it is worth it to pay for a top view as you choose a hotel in the location. Some people don’t mind paying more to enjoy a sunset over the chair from their private balcony, while others would rather save money on the room and spend more time on the beach or viewpoint.

Location

Location is the key factor to consider, especially in city properties. A travel advisor that is helping you book dinner reservations, activities, and rides is important in finding a hotel or a resort in the best location within your budget.

Hotel Amenities

Do you need a swimming pool, a 24/7 gym, babysitting services, or a full-service spa? Get to know what the hotel offers or provides as you compare properties to make sure you’re comparing mangoes to mangoes.

Beyond these, let your travel advisor know about your personal needs preferences, favorite hotels (and least favorite), and any other information that can help them match you with your wishlist or the perfect hotel. Our main goal is to create the most personalized, incredible travel experience, and finding the best hotel for you is a key element.
