The trip of my dream

My future trip to Portugal!

Hi, everybody! Today I want to tell you about my personal experience in Bali.

In general, I travel to different countries and quite often, which is basically what I should do when working in the tourism industry. But, perhaps, it was this trip that I wanted to share with the whole world - it was so bright, fabulous and incredible!

But... let's start over. The next parts of this stories I will publish at RaiseTwice.com, enjoy reading! Why did we choose Bali in the first place? This year, I tried skiing for the first time. Employment it is fine, and I understood that simple lying on a beach and excursions are tired, it would be desirable to combine rest with various activities. Here and have decided to try surfing - it would be desirable still to warm up before severe winter. The first thought was Portugal - excellent conditions both for beginners and for those who continue. It is a beautiful, interesting and original country. But still, the probability of the cold ocean and the fact that we had traveled along and across Europe made us look for another solution. Choosing between the continents, we decided that now we want to go to Asia more - it is still quite unknown for us, and more affordable. We had to choose: Sri Lanka, Indonesia or Thailand. Having talked to our surfers, we got a unanimous opinion - it's better to start in Bali. There is such a region, Kuta, where everything is just perfect for the first attempts to get up on the board.

We've decided on the direction. Next, we have to make a route. Here, I trusted my colleagues completely. In the end here is what I got: 2 nights in Singapore, 3 nights in Ubud, 7 nights surfing in Kuta and at the end of 2 nights of total relaxation in Nusa Dua.

P.S. It may seem unusual to you that I call everything in the nights, but that's how it turned out in tourism - we don't call everything days, but days :).

In general, we have decided on the route. Further waiting for the trip itself and preparation for surfing. In terms of fitness I am quite prepared, I do fitness and yoga several times a week. But I want to say that it is not so important for skiing. It's much more important to be friends with yourself, with your body and to keep balance. For this purpose I bought a balance board and every night we learned to resist it, then squat and just have fun. A closed swimsuit was also bought so that the ropes would not be carried away by a wave, as well as the most water-resistant sunscreen with SPF 50+ to avoid walking with red nose and cheeks.

And then came the 20th of September, and we went on the long-awaited journey.

We flew Etihad from Amsterdam to Abu Dhabi on a connection. The planes are big and comfortable, there are plenty of places to eat, they give us tasty food (beer and wine). The transcontinental flight from Abu Dhabi to Singapore scared me a little, as I had never flown such large planes before. But, as it turned out, I was scared for nothing and now I want to fly only that way! The planes are big, you don't feel like you're flying at an altitude of 10,000 m in the middle rows. As an added bonus, Etihad has a well thought-out interface and personal displays - a wide range of movies, music and cool nostalgic games. And you can also see in real time where you're flying, at what altitude, at what speed, how long you have left - a real command center and a useful thing for aerophobes (in our pair, too).

On the morning of September 21 we were already in Singapore. Only when you landed, you immediately realize that you got to the most organized place on Earth! Everyone knows his business, everyone works neatly, quickly and clearly. On arrival, we were met by a transfer and taken to a hotel. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay Hotel. A good and profitable option for a short stop in Singapore, close to all the sights, nourishing and varied breakfasts, well-groomed rooms. Plus, each room has a complimentary mobile phone with mobile internet access during your stay, which can be a delight in an unfamiliar city.

After taking a short break from the road, taking a shower and changing clothes, we went for a walk. The city, of course, surprises and delights! It was not for nothing that he got the whole chapter of my story.

Singapore is such a small Asian America. It's a former British colony. Now a developed country where people from all over the world live. But most of it's from Asia, of course. The biggest and most popular cultural enclaves for tourists are Chinatown and Little India. You can feel the atmosphere of these countries for a couple of hours walk around the same city. Walking around Singapore is very funny. Colonial buildings alternate with pagodas and Indian temples. And all this architectural mix is dominated by skyscrapers. It's a perfect example of exoticism for us.

In the center of all this cosmopolitan ensemble, of course, stands out the famous Marina Bay Sands Hotel. By the way, it's better to walk along the promenade in the evening - in the dark from these sparkling buildings, numerous
