Springbrook is a natural paradise nestled on the Gold Coast Hinterland. Ancient forests, lookouts, rare plants, walks, waterfalls, and beautiful birds, this place has it all. Many of the lookouts and waterfalls are kid-friendly and convenient to access. Even if you are not an avid walker or super-fit, you can still enjoy the natural glory of this park.

For those who want to meet water, Springbrook National Park is a wonderland. If you are planning a tour to this gorgeous place, then here check the popular Springbrook National Park waterfalls, which you cannot afford to miss.

Twin Falls

These are one of the most awesome waterfalls in Springbrook. You can reach these falls from the Twin Falls Circuit walk. You have to walk a short distance to reach the falls. The rewards are worth walking like rock pools, lush forest, big rock clefts, and alluring views.

Twin falls cascade into three separate rock pools. All these three pools are good for swimming. You can relax for hours in this serene part of the rainforest. Car parking, as well as convenient access to the circuit walk, is available from the nearby picnic and lookout grounds.

Rainbow Falls

These waterfalls are located 10-15 minutes away from Twin Falls. These are beautiful falls that are situated at a dead end. Hence, once you have visited it, you have to again come down to Twin Falls and then walk back towards the main road. The water at these falls is very refreshing.

Goomoolahra Falls

A delightful small forest is situated at the end of the Springbrook road. The cliff here is met by a meandering mountain stream and it cascades down below into the valley. The lookout at the cantilevers over the rock will give you a bird’s eye view of these falls.

The Goomoolahra Falls are located just 100m from the car parking area. The lookout area also gives you views across the canyon to the buildings located at the Surfers Paradise and beyond the scintillating blue sea.

Purlingbrook Falls

It is one of the finest waterfalls on the mountain and only a few minutes away from the car parking space. It looks spectacular after rain. You can enjoy a stroll over the forest available at top of the falls. You can witness the treetops, blue crayfish, and monster tadpoles. Across the top of waterfalls are a causeway and 2 lookouts.

It can be easily accessed as there is a novel suspension bridge at the bottom of the falls. If you don’t mind walking a little more, you can take a walk down to canyon floor and enjoy moving on this suspension bridge.

Waterfall Running Over Natural Bridge

The Natural Bridge is the name given to a naturally formed rock arch over the Cave Creek. It is a tributary of the Nerang River. The bridge was formed from a waterfall that undercuts the cave beneath the waterfall and with a pothole on the top. The two of them finally joined and the creek now flows through this cave, leaving the arch across the front.

It is one of the unique Springbrook National Park waterfalls. The cave here is home to a colony of the glow worms and numerous commercial operators spend night tours inside the cave. During the night, there is immense light produced inside and near the cave by the glow worms. It is as a reaction of four chemicals, which produce the bioluminescence or living light.
