I arrived with my family from a province, to the capital in search of better living conditions, after the war had ravaged the country for 22 years, it was a devastating war, many people died, I lost my grandfather and many close family members, friends of my parents, neighbors, I saw a lot of people dying, I remember that time as if it were today, luckily and thank God we came to the capital of the country and stopped in a neighborhood of the capital where the security conditions were better than we lived in the province, I was 8 years old when we moved in with my mother and my three brothers.

At first things were very difficult until we managed to adapt, we had nothing, we ran away from the war leaving everything behind to start a new life, it was not easy at all, but my mother was very strong and did not let herself be shaken by the difficulties, we even slept on the street, we had no food for three days, until after a week we were able to settle in the refugee center, we stayed there for two years until the war ended, things calmed down, the parents stay in peace and my mom get a job as a teacher. We left the refugee center and went to live in the neighborhood where I grew up, then another struggle started, as the country was restoring itself. In this war of power struggle, deep down the people suffered, some benefited, enriched themselves in a war where many died.

The neighborhood where I grew up, is the same where I live until now, it is a humble neighborhood that is super populous and humble people, without many opportunities for growth, that is, it is a neighborhood where the law of the dog prevails. A neighborhood where, with investments, job promotion and the creation of cultural values, there is hope to change the situation in our neighborhood, people have a lot of talent and few opportunities for growth, it is a neighborhood where prostitution, alcohol, illiteracy, hunger, humiliation, lack of opportunities and delinquency speak louder in all aspects, on the other hand it is an artistically oppressed neighborhood, where artists cannot express themselves in the best possible way for fear of political oppression, for fear of being persecuted and killed , I live in a neighborhood in the middle of nowhere, where we are nothing in the eyes of a government that does not care about the well-being of the population, where the oppressed people must do and speak exactly as the government wants and commands, where televisions in instead of promoting values they promote prostitution, promiscuity, iniquity, where brainwashing is done all the time in children with the promotion of banal and offensive music, where the only value is just the vote of dictator government… I live in a forgotten and neglected neighborhood!

But in the midst of all this, there is hope in the face of the population, in knowing that one day there will be changes, that one day that trained citizen will have a job, that child who instead of going to school will sell to help support his family one day will graduate, that wronged person hopes that one day justice will prevail, that jailer who was unjustly imprisoned, one day justice will be in his favor, that citizen who was arrested because he stole food because he was hungry will one day satisfy his hunger and food will be at your disposal, one day the people will no longer be oppressed, there will be cultural appreciation, freedom of expression, opportunity for growth in all sectors, that one day the neighborhood, the country will change and the lives of the population will also change, deep down we have that patriotism that we love the country we have and live and fight for their freedom, a people without culture is an empty people, it is a people without history.

The neighborhood where I grew up, has everything to go right!
