Three Reasons Why I Love Settle
Whenever I go on holiday I always track down places of interest to visit. This is one of the reasons I love coming to Settle. I take April Cottage at the bottom of Castlebergh Crag, and this is a quick rail journey to The Huntress of Skipton Castle Woods by train (a wonderful Willow sculpture by Anna Cross).

A Bit Of The Titanic In Alnwick
Introduction Fiona told me that the White Swan Hotel in Alnwick contained some artefacts from the RMS Olympic which was the sister ship to the Titanic. On checking It turns out that the main dining room (Olympic Restaurant) is effectively the First Class Lounge from the ship which is identical to the one on the Titanic.

7 Days in Morocco Changed the Way I See Travel Forever. AI-Generated.
7 Days in Morocco Changed the Way I See Travel Forever I had dreamed about visiting Morocco for a very long time before this journey finally happened. Every time I opened Instagram, Pinterest, or travel blogs, I kept seeing photos of the Sahara Desert, colorful Moroccan markets, blue streets in Chefchaouen, and travelers riding camels during sunset. Morocco looked completely different from the places I had already visited in Europe. It looked more alive, more emotional, and more authentic. I wanted to experience the culture, taste the food, meet local people, and see if the famous Sahara Desert was really as magical as travelers described online. So finally, after years of thinking about it, I booked a 7 days Morocco tour from Casablanca, and honestly, it became one of the best travel experiences of my entire life. Morocco surprised me every single day with its landscapes, its people, its traditions, and the feeling that every place had its own unique soul. This was not just another vacation where you take photos and move on. It became one of those rare trips that stay inside your memory long after returning home.

Chilling With Elephants in Sri Lanka
“Colombo? Where’s Colombo?” I said. “It’s the capital city of Sri Lanka, an island in the Indian Ocean immediately south of the mainland,” my partner replied. Sri Lanka is a melting pot of colonizers and cultures, Portuguese, Dutch and finally the British who developed a lucrative trade in tea when Sri Lanka was called Ceylon. We were in Sri Lanka not for tea but for elephants.

Back In The Poison Garden. Content Warning.
Introduction Earlier this year I visited The Poison Garden in Alnwick and shocked and surprised a lot of my friends across the water with the fatal capabilities of everyday plants that most people have around their homes. You can check that piece out with the comments here.

St Anthony’s Chapel Ruins
On Friday I was in Edinburgh and I am interested in old buildings. My dad was a builder but I could never get the hang of building walls , my limits were hod carrying , block making , mixing concrete , digging holes and sweeping up. All necessary jobs but something that anyone can do.

10 Irresistible Reasons to Visit Upper Mustang
Upper Mustang offers a trek that's in a class of its own. With its rugged landscapes, rich Tibetan Buddhist culture, and a history that's steeped in the mystique of the "Forbidden Kingdom," it's a destination that stands head and shoulders above the rest. Due to its restricted status, it's largely untainted, giving you a genuine Himalayan experience. You'll delve into ancient monasteries, hidden caves, and the walled city of Lo Manthang. The dry climate and rough terrain create a unique desert feel. If adventure is what you're after, here are ten compelling reasons to visit Upper Mustang.

Moscow at Midnight: Stories Hidden in Russia’s Quiet Streets
Cities often reveal their true character after sunset. The noise softens, crowds fade, and ordinary streets begin to feel different. Moscow is one of those cities that changes completely when night arrives. During the day, it moves with purpose. Cars rush through wide roads, people hurry between offices, and tourists fill historic squares. But late at night, the atmosphere becomes slower and more reflective. Streetlights glow over old buildings, quiet parks hold memories of past centuries, and the city feels both peaceful and mysterious. Many people imagine Moscow as powerful and serious, yet it also holds moments of silence, beauty, and personal stories. To understand Moscow fully, one must look beyond headlines and explore the emotions hidden within its streets.
