The ethical rethinking of travel
I am a follower of all things Travel and Adventure, my eyes light up at the discovery of a new flight route to Armenia, A camel trek in the Western Sahara or a Windsurfing trip in Naxos. The thought of the unknown is what drives my spirit of adventure, I leave scribbles and notes in diaries about trips and ideas far into the future, even if they are not viable or I never embark on them, but each idea is what inspires and motivates me to keep taking steps to find what is over the horizon.

The Atlantic Islands of Galicia are home to one of the best nature reserves in Spain. There are several islands off the coast, among them the Cíes Islands, a vital habitat for seabirds and marine life. These islands are only open to visitors in the summer, when you can enjoy the beaches and get up close to marine life by snorkeling.

The cottages used to be homes to the workers from Adare Manor but now house craft stores and fine dining restaurants. Adare has been designated a heritage town by the Irish government. The town is located in County Donegal and was awarded the title of the “best village to live in” by the Irish Times in 2012.

A Walking Tour Through Manchester
Have you ever been for a tour of the place you live? I recommend it. For me, it was a wistful, introspective experience. Last week I met up with Gordon, a walking guide, outside Central Library in Manchester. I was part of a tourist group, three from Ireland, four from New England, a student from South Korea on a stop-over before her next flight and me, from down the road, a tram ride away.

St Anthony’s Chapel Ruins
On Friday I was in Edinburgh and I am interested in old buildings. My dad was a builder but I could never get the hang of building walls , my limits were hod carrying , block making , mixing concrete , digging holes and sweeping up. All necessary jobs but something that anyone can do.
