Spider webs festoon

Skeletal branches stretching

Up through Winter ills.

Beauty blends with bleak

Days spent dodging winter ills

Sneezes ride breezes.

Flee swiftly away

Travel far over oceans

To Summer’s sweet smile.

Switzerland greets me

Cow bells ring in lush meadows

Peaks and lakes sparkle.

*

Gondolas and trains

Enjoy the Sun’s late bedtime

Passing alps and sheep.

*

Castles’ crisp clear views

Of churches, rooftops and lanes

Lift spirits sky high.

Deliciously smooth

Chocolate melts in backpacks

Adventures speed time.

Slide like a skater

Through time zones, back Down Under

Bees buzz; blossoms bloom.

Woeful Winter’s fled

Carnival of Flowers cheers

Spring’s grand arrival.

What an amazing world! Travelling through time zones, across the world... I experienced three seasons across seven countries (Australia; Singapore; the UK; Switzerland; Germany (for nine minutes); Italy (for a few hours) and Austria (a couple of days). An unforgettable trip! What a treat! Sadly, Autumn missed out.
