Wherever you decide to live in Costa Rica, you're always close to Mother Nature. .

So many adventures here in Costa Rica. Imagine all of the joy that so many people have experienced either on vacation or living here. Costa Rica is a magical place. . actually, one of the happiest countries on the planet. And our job is a very important one. . to simply SHARE with you the hundreds of stories that we gather from friends, family members & clients! We only hope that you connect with one of these events and that it may be the catalyst for you to visit or perhaps even move here. The PURA VIDA LIFESTYLE is special and once you understand it, THERE'S NO TURNING BACK.

Tyler & Nancy. . they spent most all of 2019 researching countries in which to retire. They spent time in Peru, Mexico, Colombia and Panama. In 2020, they wanted to take a few months to explore Costa Rica, but, of course the COVID-19 situation hit hard and they were stuck in their tracks! Disappointed, they laid low and waited it out. So, in September of 2021, they landed in San Jose. . they had done a lot of research about Costa Rica and to be honest, they were somewhat overwhelmed. They had so many places to visit on their 'to-do' list. Tamarindo. . Turrialba. . the Caribbean coast. San Isidro. . the Osa Peninsula, the Central Pacific coastal areas. . many little towns around the Central Valley were on their list as well. . Ciudad Colon, Puriscal. . Santa Ana. . the Barva Volcano area, Heredia. . Cartago. The list goes on and on. And of course, they wanted to spend some time in the high cloud forests around Monteverde. And while they were up that way, the wanted to stay in some in the little towns surrounding the Arenal Volcano.

They spent three months here in 2021 and then returned to Utah for the Christmas Holidays. They just returned a few days ago and are continuing their quest. They've seen about 1/2 of the country, but think they need about two more months to explore and research. By June of this year, they would like to have found a little casita for rent and finally make their move. They are thinking about not buying anything for a couple of years. Instead, maybe staying for a few months at a time in many of their favorite areas. No hurry in deciding where to finally call 'home'.

I like their strategy. We speak to some people who settle down too soon in one specific area and hate it. What a shame it would be to hurry the process so much that you make wrong decisions and then spoil what could have been a wonderful life here! One couple moved here with reckless abandon. They did not do their due diligence and made all the mistakes of rookie expats. They wanted to buy first. . they 'overbought'. They ran into some financial difficulty and finally, after a couple years of woe and despair, they gave up. They lost just about everything they had and are now back home in the USA. . starting over and licking their many deep wounds.

TAKE YOUR TIME and slow down. . there is absolutely NO HURRY. . That is the PURA VIDA way. . and it works wonderfully.
