Must-see exhibits in the British Museum, London
The British Museum houses more than 8 million objects. Not all of them are on permanent public display, but there are enough there to keep you busy for many days, should you have the time. However, this is unlikely to be the case, especially if your time in London is limited. What you will regard as a “must see” item will doubtless depend on your personal interests, but there are a number of objects that it would be a shame to miss, and some of these are suggested below.
John WelfordPublished 3 years ago in WanderMount Grace Priory
Mount Grace Priory was one of ten Carthusian monasteries, or “Charterhouses” that were founded in England prior to the dissolution of the monasteries, which took place during the reign of King Henry VIII. Its ruins are the best-preserved of the ten, and are well worth a visit if you are in the area.

My alarm went off at 3am. I doubt I had slept but even an hour. What little sleep I had, was far from good, as I was not yet used to the rock hard mattress which seems to be the norm of Indonesia. I promptly rolled out of bed... had a quick stretch... splashed some water on my face... and brushed my teeth (using bottled water of course). I grabbed my backpack, which I had prepared the night before, and was swiftly out the door, excited, yet asking myself, "oh dear Lord, what have I got myself into?"

"Jon, it's time to get up. Let's get a move on." My mother always loved the sunrise. I sat up in bed. It was a cool, spring morning, in Goodsprings, Nevada, 1974. I was about to turn 10. A little heat was coming from the wood burning stove outside my bedroom door.

Travelling through China was EPIC and I would recommend it to anyone. Especially if you're interested in vast, rural mountains, ancient history dating back thousands of years, sacred temples and really long and great walls. Wherever you land, get some rest, then head on out to Rural China.
A Hairy Encounter With a Canadian Wilderness Legend
Something’s been here Here, where there is never anything but me. The beach isn’t mine. It doesn’t belong to anyone, which means it belongs to everyone. But it’s only me who comes here. In the Canadian winter, this huge lake is free of ice and free of people. When I visit to drink in the silence, I remain undisturbed. The firewood I keep in a cave is always ready for me to use on my next visit. The fine pebbles are unscarred by footprints. The beach may not be mine. But it feels like it.

The Fabulous Table Lady Of Atlantic City Part 3 Rocco and The Little Wonder Cruise Pacific Avenue “Not too fast,” The Little Wonder protested as Rocco yanked him feet first from under the hood of my 1976 Chevy Impala. He was the smallest of all three of us and was able to reach down into the engine and adjust the fan belt so we used him as our human fix-it tool for minor auto repairs. We didn’t want to attract any more attention from the police as they were always on the lookout for our car, “the rattle trap,” as they called it.

A year and a month ago, we were in Narbonne A coastal town in the south of France, sixty miles from the border with Spain. In 118 BC, it was home to retired Roman legionaries. Next, Narbonne was conquered by the Moors, who were later supplanted by a Jewish principality that lasted through the Middle Ages.

Just outside Radium Hotsprings there is an active logging road. If you drive down it for about half hour you reach a big hill on the side of a cliff that goes into a one lane spot for just a second .There is also a Blindspot pretty scary when it’s an active logging road but as soon as you get past there, there is the nicest natural Hot Springs off the side of the road .Just down the hill there’s even a change room at the top .There’s absolutely no light pollution there ,we always used to stop there after Shambhala. There was always the same meteor shower going on every year which was amazing because it was pitch black except for some glow sticks in the little pools. These are some of the best Hot Springs and most remote that I’ve ever been to. Right past the hotsprings you can go to any of the Six or seven campgrounds that are just down the road around two pristine lakes.
