Detroit, Michigan's largest city, is in the Upper Midwest. This bustling metropolis is known as the Motor City. And famous for autos, Motown Records, and its vibrant arts and restaurant culture. It is most recognized for its paintings by renowned artist Diego Rivera, which depict the city's varied industrial past. Enjoy the city’s diverse attractions and experiences, making it an unforgettable destination with DTW flight bookings to Aruba.

1. Motown Museum

Motown Records, which was in 1958, was one of the factors that helped place Detroit on the musical map. This was the city's first recorded workspace, and visitors had the opportunity to explore it. Purchased by founder Berry Gordy, it became the Motown Museum.

Gordy purchased this property, dubbed "Hitsville USA," in 1959, and it has since become one of the major Detroit attractions. Gordy's sister converted the mansion into the Motown Museum in 1985. You can see Studio A as you travel through the mansion, where many singles were before the label relocated to Los Angeles in the 1970s.

2. Detroit Riverwalk

The Detroit Riverfront ranks as one of our favorite inexpensive things to see and do in Detroit. The Detroit Waterfront Preservation is monitoring it. While nothing beats a stroll along the Detroit Riverwalk in the sunshine, the region has activities for all seasons. The Detroit Riverwalk stretches for about 5.5 miles one way along the Detroit River from Ambassador Bridge to Belle Isle. This makes it ideal for seeing the lovely Detroit River, the city, and even a sight of Canada.

ARUBA

Aruba is one of my favorite Caribbean destinations. It's small enough and big enough to have lots to do without too much FOMO or long drives, yet it's not too difficult to get away from the throng and have a true experience. I've been three times since I love it so much! I've also included a few gourmet and wellness favorites for good measure. The following are the top things to do in Aruba:

1. Eagle Beach

Eagle Beach, not far from Palm Beach's high-rise hotels, has white sand and is well-positioned for the sunset each night. Watch the boats go by, or stay at an intimate hotel on this stretch of coastline for a quieter atmosphere.

2. Divi-Divi Trees

Also on Eagle Beach, have a look at these unusual trees that have grown on the sand. It's worth noting that these aren't the actual Divi-divi trees – they're mislabeled on Google Maps — but they're still cool and worth seeing! While driving about, you can also observe the actual Divi-divi trees, especially at San Nicolas. They almost appeared to be arched in one direction, and they only grew on Aruba!
