Gardens, zoos, beaches, and a dinner cruise in Sydney? As much as I love to agree, I also really love planning things to work everything in a better way. I’m pretty sure all the parents out there with children can relate that it is not easy planning an engaging day out with kids, especially without taking a large sum out of their pockets! So here is what I recommend for an entire Sydney day with your family and younger ones — which I tried and succeeded! Keep reading and see what kind of fun is guaranteed while you are in Sydney for a family getaway!

After all the activities, it is unavoidable to give an epic closure to your day and sometimes, family-friendly destinations are too pricey and unaffordable. A dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour is definitely a great choice for your night-out destination. From the luxury glass boat and the unique paddlewheeler to a budget-friendly catamaran, there are many dinner cruise options you can choose from. Who would not like combining an astonishing sightseeing experience with high-end restaurant-quality dining? So, that’s sorted I think!

Oh no… I should have done numbering the ideas properly. But it’s okay! Now it’s in the order of importance! Let’s get back to this…

Once everyone’s up and ready to go, you can start the day by hitting Bondi — the popular Sydney beach. You may be wondering why anyone would suggest going to a beach first, but let me tell you, it is the best thing and kind of the most popular thing to do while in Sydney. Let me assure you — it is the most delightful thing to do! SpeFdanding your morning on Sydney’s Bondi beach could be the most appropriate opening to your vacation. It is important to carry your sunscreen and all beach essentials. Ensure everyone’s happy and simply having a blast. Build sandcastles with your kids, take a dip in the ocean, and catch a surf. Once you have your lovely tan- tint, enjoy some of the local delicacies available in the nearby restaurants!

After a good morning spent in Bondi, head over to the Taronga Zoo, which interestingly true to its name of Aboriginal origins, means ‘ beautiful view ’. It is certain that the little kids, as well as the adults, will be joyful seeing all the lovely, playful Aussie wildlife around including the koalas, sugar gliders, kangaroos, and wallabies. Find a good high- tea in Sydney to suit your budget and after your visit to the zoo, I’d recommend attending a high- tea with the family — as a refreshment and a tool to rejuvenate!

With an hour or two to kill until your dinner, stroll along the popular Circular Quay, just a walk away from Kings Street Wharf where your dinner for the night is planned. You can perhaps consider renting a car to explore the surroundings with your family and relax a bit before getting into dinner. Enjoy the afternoon sun and its radiance, and click some spectacular family photographs in the backdrop!

Now, comes the best part — dinner aboard a Sydney Harbour cruise! Enjoy the spectacular panoramic harbour views and enjoy a scrumptious dinner, freshly prepared by expert in-house chefs. If you want to combine your dinner with drinks, certainly you can. You can purchase a beverage package and elevate the spirit of your family night.

As I mentioned earlier, it is hard to plan a family getaway with all your family members, especially kids. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have one and it is impossible to have one. Honestly, family getaways are important to cultivate a healthy ground essential for your children’s growth. It can add charm, care, and love to your bonds and thereby to make the familial bonds stronger!
