Bali is an island paradise often referred to as the “Island of Gods”. It is a place that offers a perfect blend of rich culture, ancient history and stunning landscapes. The tranquil beaches and clear waters invite guests to the island, and planning a trip to this magical place can be both exciting and stressful unless you know what to do. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveller, this guide will help you plan an unforgettable trip to Bali.

Why Choose Bali?

Bali is an island that caters to a wide variety of travellers. From the gorgeous beaches of Nusa Dua, to the lively night vibes of Seminyak, and the cultural hub that is Ubud, Bali offers something for everyone. The Balinese people are very hospitable and the prices of food and lodging are quite affordable. These facts make Bali a must-visit place.

When to Visit Bali

The most pleasant time of the year to visit Bali would be between April and October as this is the dry season. The wet season, from November to March, is characterized by heavy rains, but it's also a great time to experience Bali’s lush greenery and fewer crowds.

How to Get to Bali

Bali is mainly accessed by air, via the Ngurah Rai International Airport, located in Tuban. Many international airlines operate direct flights to Bali from major cities around the globe.

Planning Your Itinerary

A meticulously planned itinerary will be extremely important when in Bali as it will help you make the most of the trip.

Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

After arriving in Bali, the first and most important task would be to book a hotel in Tuban, Bali. It will be easy if you’ve already planned one out. If you haven’t selected a hotel, there are many to choose from, including Harris Hotel Tuban Bali, which promises affordable luxury. After settling in, take a stroll around the town and visit the markets to try some authentic Balinese street food.

Day 2: Discover Kuta and Seminyak

Spend the early hours of the 2nd day enjoying the cool atmosphere and riding the waves at Kuta Beach. You can also visit the nearby Beachwalk Shopping Center for some retail therapy. Spend the afternoon exploring Seminyak’s boutiques and galleries. Grab lunch along the way and head to the iconic Tanah Lot Temple, known for its stunning sunset views.

Day 3: Cultural Day in Ubud

Use the 3rd day to gain some cultural perspective. Start off at the  Ubud Monkey forest amidst hundreds of playful simians. Explore the Palace and marketplace of Ubud to buy interesting souvenirs and learn about ancient history. End your day with a traditional Balinese dance performance at one of the local venues.

Day 4: Adventure and Nature

Day 4 would be the perfect day to embark on a sunrise trek to Mount Batur. The view at the top will take your breath away. After a tiring morning, head down to one of the Beach clubs in Bali for an afternoon of relaxation and fun in the water. End your day with a rejuvenating spa treatment at the hotel or one of the many spas around Bali.

Day 5: Nusa Penida Day Trip

Take a day trip to the beautiful island of Nusa Penida, a beautiful place known for its stunning cliffs and crystal-clear waters. Enjoy the vibrant marine life and colourful coral at Nusa Penida. Enjoy snorkelling at Crystal Bay, where you can spot a variety of colourful fish and corals. Be sure to travel with an experienced swimmer, or better yet with an expert guide.

This is a mock itinerary that you may decide to use or not. Whatever you choose to do, make sure that you end up having a lot of fun in Bali and are safe at all times.
